Marrakech - High Atlas - Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - Ouarzazate - Roses Valley - Dadés Valley
Tizi n Tichka - Guests will be collected from their accommodation in Marrakech at approximately 8 a.m. The journey will then commence towards the High Atlas mountains, traversing the Tizi N´Tichka pass with opportunities to stop for panoramic views and photographs of the charming Amazigh villages scattered across the landscape.
Ait Ben Haddou - In the afternoon, the tour continues through the Ounila valley, showcasing small villages and families residing in adobe houses, before arriving at the ksar (fortified village) of Ait Ben Haddou. Here, visitors will explore the renowned Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986. This stunning location has been the backdrop for famous films such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
Ouarzazate - Post-lunch, the journey proceeds to Ouarzazate, also known as “The Gate of the Desert.” Visitors will explore the Taourirt kasbah, one of Morocco’s most impressive ksars.
Vallee Des Roses - The next destination is the Rose Valley, passing through the expansive Skoura palm grove, a picturesque area with over 700,000 palms and numerous kasbahs. In this valley, damascene roses are cultivated for cosmetic purposes, such as rosewater. The annual Rose Festival takes place here in May.
Boumalne Dades - The day concludes in the Dades valley, where guests will spend the night.
Dadés Valley - Todra Gorges - Merzouga Dunes - Camel ride and night in a nomad tent
Gargantas del Todra - After breakfast, guests can enjoy one of the finest views of the Dadès valley from a strategic lookout point. A well-maintained asphalt road leads up the valley from Tinerhir to the gorge and then to the desert. After several stops along the way, the tour reaches the Todra Gorges, where the scenery is breathtaking. The river has carved a dramatic cliff-sided canyon.
Merzouga - Here, guests will switch from motorized transport to camels to venture into the heart of the desert. Upon reaching the camp, they will enjoy a sunset, followed by dinner, and spend the night in the dunes, listening to Berber music or stargazing.
Merzouga Desert - Ziz Valley - Cedar forests and monkey troupes of Azrou - Ifrane - Fes
Merzouga - This morning, guests have a ‘date with the sunrise.’ In the desert, waking up early is essential to witness the spectacular sunrise from a dune near the camp.
Draa-Tafilalet - After breakfast, the final day begins, heading north through the Tafilalet palm grove, the largest in the world. Thousands of palm trees line this 20km stretch of road. The route leads to the Ziz Valley, where the river descends from the High Atlas to nourish the palm grove. A stop is made here to enjoy a magnificent view of the valley and the town of Aoufous from a high vantage point.
Midelt - Another stop is made in Midelt, in the heart of the Atlas, where guests have free time for lunch and relaxation.
Azrou Cedar Forest - In the afternoon, the journey continues through the Cedar Woods, where, with some luck, monkeys may be spotted.
Ifrane - The next stop is the city of Ifrane, located on the northwestern slope of the Middle Atlas at 1630 meters above sea level. Known as ‘the Switzerland of Morocco,’ it features broad avenues, wooden ski-style chalets, and manicured gardens, and even has its own ski resort.
Fes - The tour concludes around 6 p.m. upon arrival in Fes, where guests will be taken to their hotel, marking the end of the trip.
