Oudtshoorn to Knysna
Cango Ostrich Show Farm - Oudtshoorn is known as the “ostrich capital of the world” due to its large ostrich farming industry. The Cango Ostrich Show Farm offers visitors an opportunity to learn about ostriches, their farming practices, and provides various activities and experiences such as seeing ostriches up close, learn about their habits, and even have the chance to feed them.
The Cango Caves - The Cango Caves are a series of limestone caves. These caves are renowned for their stunning stalactite and stalagmite formations, as well as their size and intricate chambers. The Cango Caves are considered one of the country’s most important natural landmarks and have a rich history, with evidence suggesting that they were used by humans in prehistoric times.
Outeniqua Pass - The Outeniqua Pass is a scenic route that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The road through the pass winds its way through a diverse landscape, including indigenous forests, fynbos vegetation, and rocky outcrops.
Wilderness National Park - We explore this beautiful landscape in a unique way- by paddling down the Touw River in canoes. This is a truly exciting way to experience the beauty of the park. After our boating excursion, we enjoy a short 2km hike to a lovely waterfall and rock pool area.
Knysna - We spend the night in Knysna, a town known for its beautiful lagoon surrounded by indigenous forests and mountains.
Knysna to Jeffreys Bay
Bloukrans Bridge - Bloukrans Bridge is famous for hosting one of the highest commercial bungee jumps in the world. The bridge is situated along the picturesque Garden Route, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. It offers an exhilarating experience for thrill-seekers. This activity is optional.
Tsitsikamma National Park - Tsitsikamma is known for its stunning coastal scenery, indigenous forests, and the Storms River Mouth, where the Storms River meets the Indian Ocean. The park has a wide choice of activities including hiking and crossing a suspension bridge.
Storms River Suspension Bridge - One of the highlights of Storms River Mouth is the suspension bridge that spans the Storms River. Crossing this bridge provides breathtaking views of the river mouth and the surrounding landscapes. Here we will paddle from the Storms River harbour across the ocean and pass underneath the famous Storms River Mouth Suspension Bridge from there we kayak up the beautiful Storms River Gorge.
Jeffreys Bay - Jeffeys Bay is known for its stunning beaches, particularly for its world-famous surfing spot. The waves in this area are renowned for their consistency and quality, making it a paradise for surf enthusiasts. The town also offers a relaxed coastal atmosphere. We will be spending the rest of the day and night here.
Jeffreys Bay to Addo Elephant National Park
Addo Elephant National Park - We end our 5-day tour by visiting Addo Elephant National Park. The park is renowned for its large population of elephants, and it is home to over 600 of these magnificent creatures. In addition to elephants, the park boasts a variety of other wildlife species, including Cape buffalo, lions, leopards, and rhinoceros. The park offers excellent opportunities for game viewing through self-drive routes or guided game drives.
Cape Town - We then take a relaxed drive back to Cape Town where you will be dropped off at your original pickup point.
