Surreal experience - Salma was great at organising two different pick ups, as other family were staying in different locations. We enjoyed the tours and the valley was just surreal. Thank you so much for making a memorable day for us and for being prompt to my messages. Only recommendation I would make is to introduce yourself when contacting customers once we’re in the country, as many would ignore as scam.

Bad restaurant - Very complete the excursion, we did quite a few things, we loved it! The only bad thing is that they take you to a pretty expensive restaurant because the owners give them a % profit. Me and my friends went to one next door (100 m) and ate super well for half the price the first one offered. Highly recommended, has the best 2023 rating on TripAdvisor

Fantastic experience today - Ourika Valley was recommended by my friend who had been here before. As I have been to the Atlas Mountains, I didn’t expect much except lunch by the river. Hiking almost one mile up and down made me sweat. It challenged my strength and stamina when hiking with young guns. I am 63, so I did feel a sense of fulfillment. I will say it is not for the faint-hearted or children. You do need shoes with good grips, mine sandals got wet and slippery inside the sole. Use a backpack to maintain equal balance. Holding a bag will affect your balance to one side. Best is to leave the bag behind. There were plenty of stops to buy water. Finally, I will say a big thank you to our driver Achraf. A safe driver and engaging with his group. Our guide Amin was young, only 21 years old, but had strong values and work ethics. He would go in front to give us a helping hand to climb up difficult rock and the same when we were climbing down. Very polite and calm approach. Recommended for moderately healthy people. Memorable forever.

A much longer trip (10h) than expected with a scam. Nice views though:) - Positives:
-amazing views, Ourika Valley was really special. Also the views from the waterfall hike were amazing. Feeding monkeys was nice also!
Negatives:
- The tour was much much longer than stated in the description. It was from 9-19 (we were with the first and last pickup with most people from the Medina/Jemaa el Fnaa). We expected a ”lighter” halfday tour from the description but it ended up taking all of our time and energy that day.
- The description of the tour stops are inaccurate. The description mentions a herb garden, that didnt happen. We stopped at a beautiful viewpoint, at an Argan Oil collective/”Pharmacy”, a berber village ”showroom/house”, we stopped to feed some cute monkeys, lunch at Ourika Valley (it was pretty cold, outside in +7C for 3 hours in december even with proper clothing, some people in out group were definitely not prepared for the chilly mountain climate compared to +17C in Marrakech and were freezing with shorts/hoodies; the argan oil place nor berber showroom were not heated either so equally freezing temperatures there). Then we took the hike to see 2 waterfalls before heading back home.
-The hike was pretty long and challenging, full of steps and some slippery and difficult places. Our mountain guide was very helpful with assisting us, but I think the hike is a bit difficult for an average person, especially if you are a bit older, or not used to similar hikes. So keep that in mind. We made it but with ended up with aching knees after hike (and we are average healthy persons 30-40years old)
-Despite selecting the option for guided tour and showing our booking that clearly stated guided tour (that only exluded the lunch price), our driver kept on insisting that the mountain guides fee was not included and that we had to pay him. Several people through different methods of booking (one couplr booked through their hotel and another family throught booking.com if I remeber correclty) says they also paid for all-but-lunch-included-set but the driver was adamant. He and the mountain guide agreed that the driver would pay before thr hike, but after hike tried (now for the 2nd time) to get us to pay for an extra fee and deal with the issue through tripadvisor/whoever we booked through. Felt like a scam, and in the end I believe some people paid under his pressure and some did not.
So pretty views and nice unique places and nature. Wear really really warm clothes if you are doing the tour in the winter, we were spending around 8 hours in +7C in december. Sad for the drivers scam (Yousef) and imo the trip description vs reality could match better, especially regarding the length.

Ourika Day Trip - The pickup was 20 minutes late. We were not taken to the Setti Fatwa waterfall which was included in the tour itinerary. Our guide Hussein was warm and friendly.

Take advantage of holiday makers - A rip off by the organiser, I would recommend people to travel there on their own.. The tour guard took us to shops that are 10x expensive than normal . It is a waste of money and time. I think they should be picking people up and drop them to do their own thing not taken them to where they are going to be ripped off. They also took us to a place to eat, they charge 120dh per person but next door charge only 60dh for the same dish was not not great a lot of the people couldn't eat it but still have to pay. They took us straight to this place as soon as we got there they give us no chance to look around they just this is where we are having lunch. It is as if you have to choice . It is not right this is stealing by trick .

Use someone else! You definitely don't need a tour guide for this one. - Ended up doing the tour alone. Agreed meet up time was 12-13:00. I arrived a little before 12pm. I messaged to confirm I was there. I heard nothing back by 12:30pm. I called, no answer.
Finally called back at 1pm to reschedule for 3pm!!!!! I just went on the walk myself, got offers from tour guides there for a full tour between 50-100Dhm, but it was easy enough to read online and DIY.
