Ouzoud Falls: Natural Beauty and a Fantastic Local Guide - We had a wonderful day at the Ouzoud Falls. We were picked up from home on time and driven there at a relaxed pace by a very calm and skilled driver. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a local guide who was absolutely fantastic. He spoke five languages fluently, along with three Arabic dialects. He led our group to the waterfalls and shared a wealth of interesting information about the area and the Berber families living there. The visit to the argan oil cooperative was also very interesting, and the waterfalls were simply stunning. Unfortunately, the area has become very touristy, and the local Barbary monkeys have been trained by the residents to behave almost like circus performers. Every tourist is immediately approached, with locals offering "free" peas or bread to feed the monkeys, only to later demand payment after you've taken a picture or video of the monkey on your shoulder. Luckily, our guide warned us about this in advance. The boat ride cost an additional €5 (€2 for the boat and €3 for the rower, who is necessary to operate the boat). However, it was a beautiful and well-organized experience, with the flow of tourists managed efficiently. The restaurants available for lunch were rather average, all offering the same menu and not putting much effort into preparation, likely because new groups of 20-30 tourists arrived constantly. We were glad we brought sandwiches and didn’t have to rely on the food there. Overall, it was a great hike with stunning waterfalls that, despite the number of tourists, still felt peaceful and idyllic. The local guide was exceptional (unfortunately, I forgot his name, but there can't be many guides who speak five foreign languages and three dialects).

Great tour, very informative - This tour was absolutely amazing. Even though the journey getting there was longer than we had expected, it was all worth it when we arrived and saw the amazing views! Our tour guide Abdul Jalil was really helpful and informative. At one point we were behind and he came back to walk with us. He took care of each and every one of us. Would definitely recommend this tour to others!

Brilliant experience - The views were amazing. Our guide Karim, was really nice and knowledgeable. The waterfalls were spectacular. A lot of steep steps, so if you can't do steps, then it's not for you. Definitely book the boat trip tho.

Divine experience with children - Fantastic experience. Some waterfalls with a divine view. Advice. Typical lunch very well served. The visit was made with my children of 8 and 10 years old, and it was very good. We went by boat to the edge of the waterfalls.

Good tour, albeit van seats very small and narrow - The tour is good, however be aware that van seats are very small and trip is almost 3 hours each way. Even though my Viator ticket clearly showed boat ride was included, with a green check mark shown to that effect the tour operator told the local tour guide that we had to pay for the boat rides anyway. It’s not about the money as boat rides were 20dh per person, but it is something that future travelers must be aware of. I lodged a complaint with Viator afterwards but their answer was there is nothing they can do about it. Lunch place in view of the waterfall was good, 140dh per person for a simple menu du jour.

Ouzoud falls a long but very worthwhile trip. - The trip was amazing and the guide was particularly good with mature and disabled people, me being one of them. He altered the trip slightly to make it more enjoyable for me. He was very friendly and oversaw the entire group seamlessly. It was a mixture of nationalities and ages but the guide was well prepared. Everywhere stated 500 steps to the bottom but it was actually more like 600, hence my 4/5 rating. On the way the driver was careful, driving at a comfortable moderate speed. The guide was there to greet us and show us toilet facilities prior to the descent. Halfway down we encountered a group of monkeys and nuts were available to buy to feed them. We also viewed the falls from up high and the first sight was spectacular. We continued down through the stepped alleyways where there was an abundance of shops and stalls selling their wares. At the bottom we had a short wait until we stepped onto our boats and the oarsman took us onto the small lake over to the cascading waterfalls. He allowed us all a turn on the boat and really deserved a gratuity for his hard work. It was a wonderful experience. We then went up the steps to the first restaurant onto their high terrace to continue seeing the fabulous views. I had a vegetable tagine and unfortunately it was overcooked, bland with no spices and no liquid. Just three veg. The little starter salad was nice and it was fresh oranges with cinnamon for dessert but we forewent that so I could proceed the ascent without keeping people waiting, it was a set meal and included water and bread. We passed the monkeys again and returned to the bus. The driver drove with a vengeance on the return journey throwing everyone on the bus around and it was scary at times. We did arrive back in one piece though, overall a worthwhile trip.

well but not too private - The site is majestic even if armoured with tourists and tourist huts. The guide was very friendly and accompanied us well. The bus ride a little long but it made us see the landscape. Not against, the group was about twenty people and therefore not flexible, we have to wait for everyone and deal with...

Do it by yourself - This was awful. Don't do it. Spend a bit extra and do a private trip or a small group. The drive is 3.5 hours. We went in a the most uncomfortable minibus driven by the moodiest driver in the whole of Morocco. The guide at the falls was awesome. it is a beautiful place and a must visit site.
