Great experience!!!!! :) - Thank you Xola for such an amazing experience. We learnt so much from you, you had such a great wealth of knowledge and you are very enthusiastic and welcoming. You take so much pride in what you do, it's very encouraging for our younger generation. They could all learn alot from you. You also managed to calm our 3 year old son a few times and even wiped away his tears when he was overtired and crying! Such an incredible human. Best guide ever!

Outstanding - This sanctuary is well worth a visit. Our guide, Xola, was incredible. He had so much knowledge about the animals and his enthusiasm was inspiring. I learnt so much about the history of Jukani and really appreciate why this place is necessary. The visit really makes you think about the purpose of Zoo’s today and private ownership of animals that should be “free”.

Well cared for animals - Good advice to visit for about 2 hours in the afternoon with feeding at c. 3.30-4.00pm. Guide very helpful and knowledgeable and we waited about 29 mins on arrive for next group tour. Given some of the comments was surprised there were quite a number of big cats and enclosures were quite large so we’ll worth taking the guided tour.

Nicely done and interesting - Wild cats of all kinds, some taken over from zoos, live in large, separate areas. Lions, tigers, pumas, jaguars, leopards, servals, caracals. Interesting tour. Get the combination ticket.

A wonderful experience for any animal lover. - After a couple of days in the local area, we popped into Jukani and joined a guided tour for a look around this wonderful wildlife sanctuary. Our guide Elvis was fabulous. He took us around, enclosure by enclosure helping us to locate and observe each animal, telling us all about them. It was incredibly interesting, and sometimes sad to know why the animals were there, but it's clear to see they are receiving the very best care in as natural environment as it's possible to keep them. We are huge animal lovers, esp big cats, and often visit zoos back in the UK as it's the only way to see these wonderful animals. However, Jukani doesn't feel like a zoo. We particularly enjoyed watching the honey badger, not an animal we'd ever seen before and quite a character! Elvis is very passionate about the animals, and the respect he has for them is clear to see. It was a wonderful experience, and we would love to go back, and to visit the sister parks someday. Also, the gift shop was fabulous. We bought t-shirts and all our holiday gifts there, lovely selection. Thanks, keep doing what you're doing!

Late afternoon visit is highly recommended - It was a very special experience getting to see these magnificent cats up close. The staff was very welcoming and our guide was knowledgeable and interesting. We were advised to visit in the late afternoon and this proved to be the right move - we arrived at 3pm just before feeding time, so the cats were all close to the fences waiting for their meal. We were very lucky to see them all awake and active.

A good filler activity - It was good experience, but only as a filler activity. If you have spare time, you can surely visit this sanctuary. Our guide X was very patient and informative. Do not plan this as your main activity as there would not me much to it.

Ugly excursion. I would not go back - The truth is, I was very disappointed. Very poor. There are only two lions, two leopards, two zebras and one wolf. Nothing else And we couldn't see some of these animals because they were sleeping or hiding. The very abandoned place I would not return nor do I recommend it
