Harrowing and grounding - Highly recommend the guided tour with transfers included by Discover Krakow. Well organised and great communication via WhatsApp groups. Illona and then our tour guide at both camps auschwitz and auschwitz birkenau were incredible and very knowledgeable. The history you see on TV only touches on the horrors of what actually happened. The weather on the day made the experience even more poignant and only enhanced what the prisoners must have gone through daily. You cannot leave without feeling grounded and knowing how lucky we are. The way they have maintained the camps so generations to come can understand the horrors of war is a credit to the polish community and everyone involved. You have to visit to believe the horrors and it would spoil it to mention anything in a review. All I would say is do not visit Krakow without visiting here. Thank you so much again to the organised tour and everyone involved. Was an absolute pleasure and thank you for the experience and your time. 11/10 easily Rebecca and Karl United kingdom Dec 6th 2024

Sobering day. - Booked this trip through a travel agent in the uk as last time we were cancelled by another company 12 hours before the trip. 10,15 pick up spot on and met by our host ilona before the transport arrived. Ilona was lovely and informative from start to finish. Her english was spot on and very easy to understand. She has a cheeky side too, so watch out. The trip itself to auschwitz and birkenau was very very good but be prepared to walk about 5 miles during the trip. I was prepared for the trip. Heard so many things but till you are there and see the exhibits you can never understand the scale of what happened there. Truly knocked me sideways so be prepared for that too. Thankyou again ilona for being the perfect host, Mike and Glenda.

A moving experience. - This has been on my to do list for a long time. I finally did it with Discover Krakow. The whole experience was positive. Simple , central pick up, good knowledgeable tour host on the comfortable coach. Once handed over to the guides at Auschwitz and Birkenau the visit was conducted at a good pace with lots of information and time for questions and personal reflection at the memorials. The whole visit was well conducted and at a pace to suit all visitors. Discover Krakow are an excellent company to go with, the memorial sites are well organised with excellent guides and facilities for visitors.

Impressive! - Fantastic tour to Auschwitz 1 and Auschwitz Birkenau done with my almost 80 year old father. Super impressive and to be quiet but also good to literally reflect on this. Everything well arranged, we were kept neatly informed of the departure times. Special thanks to tour Guide Radnek. A cheerful enthusiastic young man who created a nice atmosphere in the tour bus and guided us safely through Krakow. Guide Joanna of Auschwitz museum also deserves an Honorable Listing. Easily understood explanations, nowhere rushed and everyone was at the ready for questions. She also waited neatly until the group was back together before continuing with her story. Chapeau Discover Cracow tour, I will recommend to everyone. See you next time!

Viator makes Auschwitz Birkenau tour so easy. - Transfer by bus was an excellent choice for us. Our driver was on time and we had a smooth trip to and from our destination. Our guide was absolutely fantastic. Her knowledge and delivery of it was outstanding. This is a tour that must be taken. Be prepared for a roller coaster of emotions. This history must never be forgotten.

Best tour guide - Great organisation of the trip. Our guide Mirosław was outstanding, his knowledge was really impressive. The way he passed all the information was not just dry facts but you could really feel how emotionally invested he was in the history of Auschwitz. He was one of the best tour guides I have met during my travels.

Very educational yet so very sad - We were originally told we would be picked up at 6.30 and fortunately the night before we were told it would be 9.30am. Our personal transfer driver was really good and delivered us at the door and handed us over to a rep. The queues to get in were large and fortunately we were told by our driver that we would need photo identification to enter. The toilet queue was very long and we were slightly late for our tour start time due to this. Our tour guide was excellent and explained the history and suffering that occurred and many were reduced to tears. The exhibition is something I am grateful to have seen however it is also so very sad and a day I won’t forget.

No show - They did not turn up. Luckily, I got my money back. They also did not contact me regarding whether the trip was cancelled and this was after several calls to their number

Unprofessional - Bus had no aircon and was booking for the entire journey there and back. Your guide kept walking off at his own pace not waiting for people to catch up before talking. The guy on the bus phoned 5 minutes before we needed to be there saying he would wait 5 minutes longer. Then slept the entire journey to auschwitz couldn’t be bothered to talk about what would happen so put on a pointless video with subtitles and no sound that you could not read absolutely useless guide poorly managed trip rushed round the trip because they wanted to get back home.
