Burford - Burford has remained largely unchanged since Georgian times when it served as a key coach stop between Oxford and the West Country. Its splendid High Street, one of the finest in the Cotswolds, descends to a bridge over the River Windrush. The High Street is lined with golden Cotswold stone buildings, including many 17th and 18th-century houses.
It is a highly popular tourist spot in the Cotswolds.
