Tolkien and C.S. Lewis! The on-board narration is sure to keep you captivated with fascinating tidbits as you journey around. Also included is a professionally guided walking tour, allowing you a more intimate glimpse into the local way of life.
- Operates: All Year Round (except 1st January, 25th & 26th December)
- Tour operates 9:30am - between 5pm and 6pm depending on the time of year. Frequency of the bus is every 10 - 15 minutes
- Duration: 40 minutes
- 45-minute Stepping Through Oxford Walking Tour leaves at set times in the day depending on the season (subject to availability) - please enquire with staff on site for up-to-date times
- Please note that the guided walking tour is seasonal, and customers should enquire upon arrival for more information.
- Mobile or paper vouchers accepted. Paper vouchers must be redeemed at City Sightseeing shop in Oxford Railway Station.
- Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the travel date selected at check-out
- Please note, there will be diversions in place Sunday 8th - Tuesday 10th September due to the St. Giles Fair taking place. Please check locally. Stop 15 will be out of use and instead, the stop near the Sheldonian will be used. Stops 18, 19 and 20 will be out of use

Interesting Tour of Oxford - As a family of 3 adults and 2 children (10 and 9) we really enjoyed Gregg's very informative live commentary plus the recorded commentary which we found interesting too. Did the circuit twice as it was so interesting and needed to do the tour a second time to appreciate everything Oxford has to offer. We got off once. Plenty of buses.

Great Walking tour add-on with the City Sightseeing Bus - Policeman Pete was amazing (he did the walking tour that was part of the Hop=On Hop-Off experience). Funny, informative, and had a great LOUD voice so everyone could hear.

Fantastic walking tour - We went on the walking tour with Graham and had a fantastic time. We really felt like we had discovered the history and Graham was so friendly and knowledgeable and could answer all questions. Well worth it!

A great service with friendly staff - This tour of Oxford from an open top bus is brought to life by an interesting audio commentary. The ability to hop on and hop off over a two day period was very useful for visiting the major attractions. The drivers are all polite, friendly and helpful.

Great Hop On Hop Off - We went on the hop on hop off Oxford bus tour, as we thought that was the best way to see Oxford with two autistic boys who are reluctant to walk long distances. It was an amazing experience, on one of the trips we had Greg giving the commentary. We found Greg to be very informative and helpful. He even gave us a tip to go to the roof terrace at the Westgate shopping centre so that we can have a good view of the city. Thoroughly recommend it.

You must do this tour - The tour was excellent. Paul our live tour guide was absolutely mind blowing. His knowledge of the area was exceptional. Informative, funny and friendly. Every new person who joined he assisted with their headphones whilst still talking about the area we were in.

A good tour of all the good bits - Good route although you don't see the bridge of sighs or the library. The bus driver was friendly but the audio guide cut off many times through the route and then restarted later. Overall worthwhile though.

Breakdown - On one of the hottest days of the year we were stuck on a bus that kept breaking down. We ended up getting off half way through to find somewhere with air conditioning and refreshments. Buses seem to be quite frequent but spend a lot of time at certain stops. All in all it was adequate.
