Beautiful day and much learning - We lived a full day experience with breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet, first the care was excellent, the delicious food and the care they have with the elephants really is an ethical place. They give you boots so you can walk around, we help give some fruit to the elephants and then we walk around the sanctuary seeing and learning about the management and care they give them. We help prepare the food of one adult elephant without teeth and cut some bamboo for another. It was a beautiful and very learning day. If you're looking for an ethical sanctuary with elephants, then it's here.

Unforgettable experience, it touched my heart, and I fell even more in love with the elephants! - Raising awareness about the mistreatment elephants endure to become docile is vital, and it is our responsibility to understand this issue. Thanks to the efforts of projects like Phuket Elephant Sanctuary, we can learn about the situation and support their ethical care practices. I loved the experience; they thoughtfully balanced the well-being of the elephants with creating a meaningful experience for visitors. Feeding the elephants with some fruits was a lovely moment, but the highlight was preparing a soft meal of rice, pumpkin, and bananas for an elderly elephant without teeth, ensuring she could eat comfortably. The sanctuary features a platform for observing the elephants from above, and we also walked around the grounds, seeing them from a respectful distance. From the beginning to the end of the day, it was amazing; the visit even included a delicious buffet breakfast and lunch for visitors. If you’re looking for an ethical elephant sanctuary in Phuket, this is the place to visit.

Possibly the best day ever! - Feeding the elephants Making the rice balls Cutting bamboo down Learning about the elephants Seeing the love and care of the keepers with the animals To name a few things we loved about the day. The guide was super knowledgeable and you can tell everyone who works there has so much love and adoration for these elephants. We managed to be the only two on the all day experience and honestly it felt like a VIP day!

Elephant viewing done right. - Incredible experience, and the highlight of our week long vacation in Phuket. The tour was informative, and felt like a natural and ethical way to interact with the elephants. Go for the full day option, where you get to prepare food for the elephants. While gathering bamboo in the forest was a bit taxing, seeing the elephants enjoy the fruits of your labor was a rewarding moment, and a perfect cap to an amazing day.

Amazing and Informative trip. Really enjoyed it, would highly recommend. Rudy was amazing. Split into small groups too. - We were picked up from the hotel in a small bus and were taken to the check in centre. This is where we were given a coloured sticker which represented what day you were doing with them. We then got on a small open top van which brought us to the main centre. We were welcomed with food and drinks which were all included. We watched an informative video before seeing where the elephants sleep and then we fed them. We went on a walk around the centre and met other elephants and learned about their lives before coming back to the centre, we learned about how to tell what jobs they did before coming here. Lunch was provided before the rest of our group left as we were there for the whole day experience. In the afternoon, it was only the 2 of us and we learned more about the elephants anatomy and how they communicate. We made rice balls, cut up some fruit and went to feed more elephants. We were taken to see more of the elephants in their natural habitat. This is the most ethical elephant sanctuary we have visited and it was such an informative visit. We have learned so much about the elephants and what the sanctuary does to look after and protect them. Honestly, a must visit place for a peaceful and truly beautiful visit. Rudy was an amazing tour guide, who answered every question we had, was very inviting and hospitable. He also took loads of pictures for us, and is really enthusiastic about his job.

Exciting and unforgettable - It was an exciting and unforgettable day! It is fantastic to see the commitment and affection of these people to the elephants. Everyone is extremely helpful and attentive, which makes the experience even more fantastic. It was possible to interact with animals in a correct and ethical way, allowing them to be at their disposal in nature. The staff very effectively convey important information about these animals and are very attentive in clarifying doubts. The project is undoubtedly worth financial support, so I recommend all people who are in Phuket to visit this sanctuary to help these fantastic animals!

A Truly Unforgettable and Ethical Experience! - I recently spent a full day at the Phuket Elephant Sanctuary, and it was nothing short of amazing! This sanctuary is a shining example of what it means to prioritize the welfare of elephants—especially those who are disabled or retired from logging and tourism. The full-day tour is a must if you want to immerse yourself in the experience and see more of the sanctuary. We had the chance to get hands-on with feeding the elephants, learning about their care, and even helping to prepare their food. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, answering all our questions and sharing heartwarming stories about the elephants’ lives. The facilities were spotless, and the food provided for visitors was excellent. This sanctuary does wonderful work, and I can’t recommend it enough. It’s a fantastic day out for all the family, and by visiting, you’re supporting a truly worthy cause.

Must go and only to this place! - Only place in Phuket you should be interacting with elephants, this ethical elephant sanctuary is incredible!!! I volunteered for 3 days and let me tell you I did not want to leave. I spent three days making food, cleaning their rooms, walking with the elephants in the forest, bamboo and banana leaf picking and spending so much time with each of the elephants (especially Fah Mui :)) I went on the usual tour everyone goes on and it was great but I encourage everyone to volunteer, you get to give back to these amazing animals after they’ve been abused for years in the tourism industry and the employees do an incredible job to let you interact with the elephants and get a feel for what its really like. Because I did 3 days they put me on in a beautiful home stay connected to an amazing cafe and gave me breakfast/lunch/dinner each day. This place truly changed my life, I can’t thank them enough for the hard work they put into giving these beautiful creatures the life they deserve.
