- Phuket Sandbox By Sun Leisure World - 08:00 AM (Morning Tours) / 1:00 PM (Afternoon Tours) - Pick-up time at Patong. If you’re staying far from Patong, your pick-up time might be earlier, or around 8:30 AM if you’re in Karon or Kata. Join us for pick-up or we will start our tours from here, picking up other guests around Patong to visit Karon View Point. We will also pick up guests at Kata and Karon. Travel time to Karon View Point is 30-60 minutes depending on traffic conditions. Please note that our schedule may vary due to traffic.
- Karon Viewpoint - 9:00 AM (Morning Tours) / 2:00 PM (Afternoon Tours): Depart from your hotel to visit Karon View Point. Enjoy the panoramic view from the top of the hill, with sights of Kata Noi, Karon beaches, and Kata Yai. Locally known as Khao Saam Haad, meaning Three Beaches Hill, Karon Viewpoint is the most photographed spot in Phuket, featuring a stunning vista of the blue sea, white surf, sandy beaches, the nearby island Koh Pu, and the lush green hills of Phuket. Karon Viewpoint is a must-visit in Phuket. Next, we will visit Big Buddha, an iconic attraction in Phuket. Travel time may vary from 20-40 minutes depending on traffic.
- Big Buddha Phuket - The Big Buddha Temple has experienced a landslide and is not advisable to visit up close, but we can still view Big Buddha from a distance. The landslide damage is expected to be repaired by September. 10:00 AM (Morning Tours) / 3:00 PM (Afternoon Tours): Big Buddha Phuket is one of the island’s most important and revered landmarks. The massive statue sits atop the Nakkerd Hills between Chalong and Kata and, at 45 meters tall, can be seen from as far away as Phuket Town and Karon Beach.
- Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong) - 11:00 AM (Morning Tours) / 4:00 PM (Afternoon Tours): Visit Wat Chalong, Phuket’s most beautiful and renowned monastery. It houses the gilt statues of monk-hero Luang Pho Chaem and his assistant Luang Pho Chuang, both highly revered by locals for their roles in quelling the miner rebellion in 1876. Next, we will visit the Cashew Nut Factory to experience local cashew nut farming, which will take 15 minutes.
- Old Phuket Town - 12:15 PM (Morning Tours) / 5:15 PM (Afternoon Tours): Explore the Sino-Portuguese town of Old Phuket Town. Discover the Baba community’s heritage in its architecture, commerce, clothing, and lifestyle. The heart of Old Town consists of five main roads and several small streets: Rasada Rd, Phang Nga Rd, Thalang Rd, Dibuk Rd, and Krabi Rd. You can have lunch here, and we will then return you to your pick-up locations. Get ready to enjoy some food.
- Phuket Sandbox By Sun Leisure World - 1:15 PM (Morning Tours) / 6:15 PM (Afternoon Tours): We will return to our starting point in about 45-60 minutes. Guests staying in Old Town Phuket will be dropped off first, followed by those in Karon and Kata, and finally, Patong and our office meeting point. Depending on your location, you will be dropped off at your hotel with wonderful memories and a rich history of Phuket. See you again for another experience. Please note that our schedule may vary due to traffic.

As the tour name suggests this is an ideal opportunity to familiarize yourself with your holiday island and take in the islands natural beauty as we drive along the beach roads through Patong, Karon, Kata and Rawai. For fabulous photo opportunities we will stop at the Karon viewpoint and cultural sights such as the sacred buddhist temple of Phuket Wat Chalong.
Phuket town offers an interesting mix of architecture including Sino - Portuguese. This town has been the backdrop for many western movies as it is said to be very similar to Indochina.

Family Vacation - We visited Phuket, Thailand in August 2024 and attended the Phuket City Tour, Big Buddha. This was a wonderful tour where we got to see and learn more about the culture. Afterwards we had lunch by the ocean. I would highly recommend this tour.

Visit to Karon -Phuket, Thailand - Beautiful view. Great experience exploring the food n culture during the land tour. We stayed at Karon Phunaka Resort. Very pleasant and cheerful staff. Good ambiance and stateroom.

Good outing - We visited the tour Alex was very good sadly big Buddha was closed due to some accident hence we only went to point go take picture from the point. The rest was good worth going to see other things

Excursion in the rain ⛈️😕 - We were unlucky: it rained heavily for almost the entire excursion. The giant Buddha couldn't visit because of a landslide. Otherwise the tour goes through the main points of interest of the area. The Guide did his bit but the day was simply not for excursions.

Don’t bother - We love a city tour and have been holidaying across Asia for a month so have been on loads. This one is not great. Firstly, it’s sold with a visit to the big Bhudda - which has been under renovation for months and isn’t accessible - only learned this the next day as the tour guide told us there was an ‘obstruction’ stoping us visiting ??? We took this to mean a car accident or flooding from the way he said this. Took us to a horrid place to take photos of chained up elephants instead - we’d specifically avoided tours like this where animals not well treated. The then visits to the ‘honey factory’ and the ‘cashew nut’ factory were nothing more than shops where they wanted you to buy, hard sell and not informative. Tour finished at the night market which was fab however we got 40 mins there - not enough time.

Tour not as promised - Having paid for a full tour including the Big Buddha and Cashew nut factory we were not informed until we had been collected by the tour bus (and had collected other customers from other locations) that the Buddha could not be visited due to a recent landslide making the area dangerous. We were also not taken to the Cashew nut factory and no explanation for not doing so was provided. Given that the landslide happened a few weeks ago, the Buddha aspect of the tour which is the main attraction should have been removed from the advertised programme, had they done so we would not have booked. I also notice despite raising concerns directly with Viator following the shortened tour that this tour with Big Buddha visit is still being advertised for sale. Very disappointing.

Guide was unprofessional - English tour guide kept talking about ladyboys, young boy bar,unclear instructions of where to meet after being dropped in old town, but karan beach view and temple visit good, told big Buddha was not available to visit

Disappointment - It has been disappointing, we have not gone to see the Big Buddha, it was closed from September 2 to 9 and we took the excursion on the 10th precisely to go to see the Big Buddha, because no... a disaster really, we have been taken to the Old Phuket which is fine for anyone who is interested. Bad truth... 😒
