Highlights

Nha Trang - Snorkeling is the casual act of putting on a mask and snorkel and looking below while floating. Snorkelers may not have any training and generally spend most of the time on the surface. Skin diving takes snorkeling a step further by adding short dives underwater. Skin divers may have training that teaches skills, such as efficient dives and snorkel-clearing. Freediving uses advanced breathing techniques and diving skills to increase depth and time underwater. Through training, freedivers learn conserve oxygen while breathholding while practicing different freediving disciplines, such as static apnea, dynamic apnea, free immersion and constant weight freedives.

Additional Information

PADI Freediving program – Establishes the necessary understanding and abilities for fundamental static apnea, dynamic apnea, free immersion, and constant weight diving from 10-16 metres/30-55 feet. If completing the open water training is not viable or preferred, participants can only go through the knowledge and closed water skill segment of the PADI Freediving program (up to 6 metres/20 feet) to secure a PADI Basic Freediving rating.

Mint - Did the 3 day course, instructors were really good and the food on the boats each day was some of the best we’ve had in Vietnam

Victoria Tiplady - My experience with Vietnam Active was just surreal. As a solo traveller from Australia (18 years old), I decided to try free diving for the first time- and I couldn’t be happier that I did! My instructor, Andrew, was phenomenal- always helping me improve my skills, encouraging me whilst also maximising safety. He was a great motivation, explained everything I needed to do in thorough detail, and just made me feel comfortable to immerse myself into the experience. I was able to reach 11.2m by the second dive site which I was so ecstatic about (started off with 5m). Thanks to the expertise and technique that Andrew and the team provided me, I’m now super inspired to get into free diving at home! If you’d like to challenge yourself and want to make a great experience on the reef, I would definitely recommend free diving. Awesome food, transport and helpfulness- and just an awesome day. Thank you so much everyone from Vietnam Active for your friendliness and support- I will definitely return and recommend to others! Victoria

Great experience in free diving with Vietnam active - Having little to none freediving experience feel very fortunate to have come accross Vietnam active where Andrey, our instructor, took me through Level 1 course. Andrey was very knowledgeable and professional. As a result, I significantly improved my freediving skills and learned lots of new very useful tricks and routines. It was great pleasure for me in the course spending time together with Andrey. I can highly recommend Andrey and Vietnam active team to anyone from beginners to experienced freedivers. Will definitely be back for Level 2! Oxana

A lesson in freediving Vietnam Active. - In November I was resting in Nha Trang.I really wanted to try freediving.I fulfilled my desire,and freediving instructor Andrey from Vietnam asset helped me with this.Many thanks to him and their entire team.I will recommend them to friends.
