- Piazza Bra - Begin your visit to Verona at the central Piazza Bra, where buildings from various eras and architectural styles come together under the bright, sunny light. The Arena, Palazzo Barbieri, and the Gran Guardia are the most renowned and admired landmarks, but don’t miss the Fountain of the Alps, the Liston with its noble palaces, the Visconti walls, the statue of Vittorio Emanuele II, and the Pentagona Tower.
- Arena di Verona - The Arena of Verona, along with Juliet’s house, is one of the city’s most famous monuments both in Italy and worldwide. It is the third-largest Roman amphitheater after the Colosseum and the arena of Capua. It can accommodate around 20,000 people, which is believed to have been the entire population of Verona in the 1st century AD, the period when the monument was constructed.
- Casa di Giulietta - This 13th-century medieval house features a stern brick facade softened by elegant trefoil windows. The front is adorned with the famous balcony where, according to tradition, Juliet would look out to speak with her Romeo.
- Arche Scaligere - This monumental and majestic tomb has housed the remains of Verona’s ancient Lords for over seven centuries. The Princes of the Della Scala family rest here, with their intricate equestrian sculptures rising towards the sky like an eternal petrified tournament.
- Ponte Pietra - Constructed in the first century BC to replace an earlier wooden bridge, Ponte Pietra is Verona’s oldest Roman monument and perhaps its most impressive. It connected the original route of the Via Postumia with the hill across a ford that has been used since ancient times.
- Lazise - After a brief lunch break, head to Lake Garda and take a stroll to admire the enchanting historic center of Lazise. This small village, with its clear medieval character, features walls, a castle, gates, and narrow streets.
