Great customized experience. - Slava arrived ahead of the scheduled time. We spotted his vehicle arriving and walked to meet him. This is a TENDER from the ship stop so allow yourself at least 45 minutes before your pickup time to be headed ashore to get the most from your time with Slava. After greeting us Slava wanted us to get the most of our time together and asked our interests, and if there was anything in particular we had researched and wanted to see, NOT that he didn’t know where to go but to customize the content and experience for example wineries, hiking (1-2km) options, etc… Our focus was more history and hiking. We did a quick chocolate stop and honey stop for samplings, enjoyed a coffee stop at a great cafe with n KeriKeri, visited the KeriKeri mission station, Hiked Rainbow Falls and Wharepuke Falls, Slava spotted some great wildlife along the trails. While the cost was a little more that a large group, it was our time, our pace, our schedule.

Wonderful - The commentary and history was great, we were asked what we liked and our guide added the personal touch. Just the scenery and the waterfalls, just beautiful.

Slava was really good, he tailored... - <p>Slava was really good, he tailored the tour on the run basing it on what we would like to see. He always had the ship departure time in mind all the time and got us back to the wharf with plenty time to spare. Highly recommended</p>

Ended up we were the only ones on... - <p>Ended up we were the only ones on this excursion, which was nice because we were able to spend more time doing what interested us. The Northland Heritage area was a place with stories of the past. Beautiful grounds. A must see to understand the area. Saw beautiful waterfalls and just enjoyed the scenery and gained alot of knowledge of NZ</p>
