Barefoot Sailing is the Best! - We had a wonderful time with the Barefoot Sailing crew and their stable and extremely comfortable catamaran. Captain Luke was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. He spent some time with all of the passengers and was quick to converse on any number of subjects from sustainable energy to brushtail possum! All was as promised including a smooth voyage to a remote and unoccupied island bay, nice lunch and SUP/snorkelling. We even saw a Little Blue Penguin! If you want a peaceful and informative day on the water then give the large motorized cruisers a hard pass and try sailing with Barefoot. Certainly one of the highlights of our trip to NZ. One of the best tours! - Luke and his team were incredible guides! So welcoming, comforting and easy to talk to. We really enjoyed how the team engaged with everyone and brought such great sense of humour, knowledge and great vibes throughout the whole 6hr trip! We absolutely loved how times we were educated throughout the trip and also given alone time to take in the incredible views! Honestly! We would go back on this tour over and over again to visit different islands as long as it was with Luke and his team! Looking for a fun, chilled and educated tour with comfort, service and laughter! This is definitely the tour!

A glorious way to spend a day on the water - I generally try and avoid packaged day trips, but the Barefoot cruise is definitely an exception. It is small, the captain/owner is both friendly and informative and the experience was delightful. It doesn't get much better than spending the day settled in a comfy beanbag chair on the foredeck quietly gliding through the beautiful waters of the Bay of Islands. The island stop was relaxing and we even got to see some super cute blue penguins on the return sail.

Loved it! - Although the wind didn't fully cooperate the day we went on this tour, the sailing/motoring was a fun time. The stories and history were informative and entertaining. The lunch was very tasty. And the island, Moturua, where we landed, hiked, and ate lunch was fantastic.

Amazing Experience - An amazing trip. First time on a catamaran & it will not be the last. I was impressed with the thought to safety whilst at the sane time not making it oppressive. A lovely boat to travel to a special island: Moturua island. Enjoyed the walk to Mangahawea Bay. Highly recommend.

Great time. - Great experience. Loved being out on the water. Staff were awesome. All round a great time. Only thing I can think of is maybe having some blankets because the wind is quite cold.
