Traveling to Koh Tao is convenient by bus and ferry. The buses are comfortable and air-conditioned, with hotel pickup services available from various locations. The journey from Krabi to Koh Tao takes 7-8 hours, with stopovers at Koh Samui and Koh Phangan. Koh Tao does not have an airport and relies on ferries from the mainland, Koh Samui, and Koh Phangan.
