Very informative - The 3 hour journey from Bangkok to Khao Yai was broken up with fantastic stories about Thailand and it’s animal life. The waterfall was in full flight and the views from the lookouts spectacular. The highlight being the 4.2km guided walk through the forest. The guide pointing out many things and providing information on each of them, including plants, insects, animals and birds. We had Peter as a guide and had a great day.

Great day out with so much included - Khao yai national park tour from Bangkok is a day back to the nature, We had a great day and its a full day and includes so much for your money. We loved the the traditional Thai transport and then the easy trek to the Heaw Narok Waterfall. The guide is great. Good English. Very helpful. Really wants you to have a great experience. Finally, there is a stop at an organic dairy farm for ice cream. I highly recommend this experience while you are in Bangkok

Day trip with waterfall and hiking - Overall had fun but keep in mind it takes 3.5 hours to. We saw the waterfall (from The Beach) then back in the van. Met up with our Thai jungle tour guide who lead us on a 3km hike (2-3 hrs). Unfortunately we only saw a bird and monkey from a distance. Heard some elephants but never saw them. The trees and plants were pretty cool however. My husband was hoping to see some cool insects but oddly didn’t see any. It was an enjoyable hike and our group was really nice. After the hike we went to the visitors centre for a Thai lunch which was good and the driver gave us some time to go buy a few souvenirs after from the centre. The hard part is another 3 hour drive back into the city. We got out at the first pit stop and walked the rest of the way to our hotel to avoid sitting in traffic. If the duration of the travel back and forth for 6.5 hours in total does not bother you then go for it. We had fun but might have done it differently in hindsight (stayed over 1 night to get more out of it or rented our own car if possible)
