Pals is a town steeped in medieval history, boasting structures like vaults, horseshoe arches, doorways, and Romanesque and Gothic windows, some dating back over a millennium. A stroll along its walls is akin to embarking on a temporal journey to the heart of the middle ages. The town is nestled amongst sprawling rice fields, which present a breathtaking vista when in bloom.
Our journey will then take us to Girona, the city of four rivers, brimming with a rich history and an enchanting historical center.
Our next stop is Girona’s Arab baths, a 12th-century construct nestled within the Capuchin convent. From there we’ll head to Girona’s city walls, originally erected as a safeguard against potential invasions and now a prime spot to enjoy sweeping views of Girona. We break for lunch and then head back to Platja d’Aro, 5 km away from the Cruise Terminal, for some final shopping. The tour culminates with a return to Palamos.
