It has an almost circular shape, covering an area of just over 4 km² with 11 km of coastline featuring stunning beaches in the south and east. The north-western part is marked by rugged cliffs. The highest point, Guardia Preposti, reaches 153 meters in altitude. Spargi is of granite origin, mountainous, with a vast central plateau. It showcases beautiful landscapes and rich biodiversity. Spargi is a haven for rare bird species like the Corsican cormorant and seagull, which nest in the high cliffs of the nearby Spargiotto island. All other species are protected, except for the royal seagull.
- Porto della Madonna - This stunning body of water features shallow, crystal-clear waters with shades ranging from nearly transparent blue to emerald green, with some dark blue areas due to oceanic posidonia. This plant oxygenates the sea and provides shelter to thousands of marine microorganisms, crucial for the Mediterranean ecosystem.
Porto della Madonna faces the Spiaggia del Cavaliere di Budelli. In the center is Isola Carpa. To the east of Carpa Island is the narrow Passo del Topo, with numerous granite rocks emerging from the water like small sculptures.
- Spiaggia Rosa - We will get as close as possible to the Pink Beach so you can admire it fully and take some memorable photos.
- Roccia dell’Orso - During our navigation, we will see one of Sardinia’s most fascinating natural monuments, the famous Bear Rock (a natural monument since 1993). According to Greek civilization scholar Victor Berard, the promontory of Capo d’Orso is the only place in the Mediterranean identifiable with the “Land of Lestrigoni,” the cannibal giants from the tenth book of the Odyssey. It is believed that Odysseus landed at Cape Bear in search of food, but the giant cannibals inflicted heavy losses on him, forcing him to flee.
- Porto Rafael - Continuing our excursion, we will come across Porto Rafael, a small and exclusive village surrounded by rocks and pristine beaches. It was established in the early sixties by Count Rafael Neville.
