We had a bachelor party in Palermo and had a great tour with the enthusiastic Giulia. - We spent a weekend in Palermo celebrating a bachelor's degree and had booked a food and wine tour for 8 people in advance from 5:15 p.m. Since reservations could only be made for 6 people on the booking website, I had previously spoken to the Tripadvisor hotline. There, the joint participation was clarified directly over the phone with the organizer. The tour started on time on Saturday evening and our guide Giulia welcomed us at the agreed meeting point as per the booking confirmation. Giulia was immediately enthusiastic about our group as 8 men are unusual on this tour according to her. Already after the first stop, her friendly and cheerful manner infected us, and it felt as if we were being guided through Palermo by a good acquaintance. In addition to the planned restaurants, she showed us many small streets, sights and gave us interesting information about Palermo. Our concerns that the tour would lead to typical tourist attractions were allayed immediately at the first stop. We were taken to numerous, partly hidden restaurants, which are known mainly by locals. Each of these restaurants convinced us with excellent food. The tour, Giulia as a guide and the selection of restaurants were the perfect way to get to know Palermo and get valuable tips for our further stay. A big thank you to Giulia from Tobia, Cristiano, Christophero, Marco, Andrea, Daniele, Matthia and Michele.

Food tour with Innocenzo was highlight of Italy vacation - I was in Rome and Sicily for 2 1/2 weeks in October 2024, and without question, the Eating Palermo food tour with Innocenzo was the highlight. He was deeply knowledgeable and passionate, and provided such a personal lens though which to experience the region's cuisine and culture. The stops on the tour showcased special foods and local businesses, of course, but it was always against the backdrop of history and with touching backstories of what they meant to Innocenzo and his family, He -- and the tour -- were beyond wonderful.
