Be a part of a beautiful family business! - The story of how the pandemic turned a former travel agent and Palermo-native into a boat tour operator is only eclipsed by the fact that she is joined by her husband and son to run Palermo By Sea (Palermoinboat dot com direct link for savings). It is easy to enjoy the beautiful scenery and savor the crystal waters when you are taken by guides who are clearly living their best lives getting to share this with you. If you are a family or small travel group I recommend booking as a charter, but we were joined by one other travelor and enjoyed the space to move about the boat and get the optimal views along the way. The meals and snacks were filling and water floats and toys ample to make swimming both relaxing and fun.

Fun at Sea!!! - We spent the most wonderful afternoon on Angela and Luca’s boat. We were a party of 13 and then were able to secure the larger boat. Swimming in Mondello inlet was a delight!! The kids as well as the adults enjoyed the “toys”. They even had a few underwater scooters!! Everyone had a blast. The authentic Sicilian snacks were delicious and the presentation was beautiful!! Drinks were also provided. We truly enjoyed every minute!

Beautiful day and experience - We really appreciate all of the efforts that "Palermo in Boat" made to ensure we had the best possible experience. Leading up to our tour, they were very easy to communicate (in English) with and always responded in a timely manner, they answered every question I had with grace and patience. On the day of the tour, we chose to walk (I'd say it was maybe a 15 minute walk with 12yo and 13yo boys) to the marina from the cruise terminal and found a few hidden gems along the way. They met us at the gelato shop with joy and enthusiasm and we knew we were in for a great time. While the boat has seen better days, any blemishes are soon forgotten by the views as you leave the marina for a half hour ride to the Mondello beach area for swimming and snorkeling. The waters were so pristine and refreshing to swim, snorkel, play and dive in, but is easily outdone by the food and hosting. The arancina bolognese was lovely, the cannoli, however, was the star. While enjoying a variety of locally made snacks and drinks we had a fun time discussing nuances in languages (arancina vs. arancini), european football, pizza, flours (never use "00", use Caputo) among many other things... When leaving, they gave us photo gifts from our trip and keychains. The only add on for our trip was the bottle of prosecco we pre-orderd, but everything else was included in the cost. Stateside, you'd get nickel and dimed for all of the "extras" we were provided, which made our day more than worth it. Palermo in Boat is easy to communicate with, easy access to and from the marina, which makes for a very safe and affordable and fun excursion for a family of four. They're a small, family run business that took great pride in making our day special. Thank you for having us, we look forward to visiting you again one day soon!

Amazing boat time in Palermo. - Had an amazing trip with this company! Alberto was a great captain and took us to beautiful spots with wonderful swimming. We did this as one of our last activities closing out two weeks in Italy and it was the perfect finish.

Swim, eat and drink off the Mondello beach and the queens grotto - Angela and Luca couldn’t have done anymore to make our day enjoyable. They catered to all our needs. We swam in two places, had a spritz, shared a sumptuous platter of street food and finished the day with a cannoli and lemonchello. We had a great day and recommend it for anyone wanting a relaxing and welcoming experience.
