The best cooking class in town - I think this is the coolest cooking class in town. Michael is a very generous and professional person. They prepared a lot of delicious and simple recipes for interesting dishes for us. And we even made pasta with our own hands! I just fell in love with the process. Thank you so much for such variety and hospitality. I had an incredible time. Special thanks for the cookbook and for the conversation over lunch. It was very sweet!

SUCH a worthwhile experience! - Such a wonderful experience!! Michael is a delight - incredibly knowledgeable, an excellent teacher, and a pleasure to spend a few hours with talking about food. Elena also made us feel so at home. Great company, incredible food, and an awesome local look into food in Palermo. I’ll definitely be taking these recipes home to Australia! I normally travel very much on the cheap, but this was 100% worth spending some money on! I think it’s unlikely this won’t be the highlight of my trip around Italy!

Great experience from shopping in the market to dessert! - Cooking with Michael was a great experience. He used every opportunity to pass on shopping and cooking tips as we all worked together to produce our delicious lunch. I really appreciate the small group limit of 6 which he made feel like a group of friends cooking together. I highly recommend Michael’s Sicilian Pantry cooking class.

Preparation of a Sicilian feast. - This was the third time we have been fortunate enough to attend a Sicilian Cookery Class with Michael. As before, we loved every minute of it. Walking around the market we learnt lots about the different names and types of Sicilian vegetables before Michael expertly led us through the preparation and cooking process. In lovely company we were then able to consume a delicious 4 course meal accompanied by excellent Sicilian wine.

Palermo's Top Attraction - The Sicilian Pantry! - This was my second experience with Micheal's cooking class. I had enjoyed the first one so much that when my sister asked me to accompany her on a trip to Palermo, my first thought was that she must absolutely join one of Micheal's classes. She was delighted and we both learned so much! Micheal has a wealth of experience and knowledge which he takes obvious pleasure in generously sharing. He creates such a friendly and comfortable environment that we quickly found ourselves on common ground with the other people in the class. The time spent together became a five star moment in life, combining the wonderful ingredients of laughter and camaraderie while learning a new skill (as well as lots of local history and interesting anecdotes) in a lovely environment, preparing and dining on delicious food with excellent wines. He's the best!

AMAZING experience both fun and delicious - We absolutely LOVED our class with Michael! We had 6 people in our class. It was easy to meet up and he communicated well on the menu in advance. We met, went shopping in the market (he taught us there as well) and then started cooking at his nearby cooking studio and dining room. He did a great job of teaching us WHAT we were making and WHY (the history, how they adjust menu to seasonally match what is available), and then HOW to prepare and cooking it. He adjusted the menu for one of the six, who was vegetarian, without compromising the menu for the rest of the group. Everything was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS and AMAZING! After preparing, we had a nice sit-down meal, with the food we prepared (combined with his pre-made special sauce…he only makes this once per year), but everything else was of our doing (with much help from him). His assistance (Elena?) was great and fun, as well. The class was a highlight of our visit and so happy we arranged the Silician Cooking Class with Michael. BOOK IT NOW! We loved every part of it and hope to return again someday.

Fabulous cocking school in Palermo - Michael , our Irish chef , was incredible. He lives in Palermo with his Sicilian wife and is truly fabulous at his job. He was so personable , friendly , accomplished , and fun . We first went to the Capo market and selected the food for our meal . All local and fresh . Then to the test kitchen to learn the recipes , hands on . And afterwards we all sat down for a delicious lunch we prepared with wine . I have booked many Viator experiences . All excellent , but this was the best of all . Highly recommended .

A convivial cooking and dining experience - This was a brilliant introduction to Palermo and its food. Michael guided us through the making of a delicious four course meal, accompanied by excellent wine, and was so informative about cooking techniques and Sicilian traditions. I'm looking forward to making the recipes at home.
