Great fun with the family - This tour is well suited to take with kids. You will use the lower part of the Barron river which is not as wild as other parts and is classified as a level 3. Very well organized. Pickup from Cairns is included. Bring your own shoes or hire them for $5,- Depending on the size of the group you will end up with about 6 people in a raft. All safety gear is provided. There is a short introduction, safety talk and some practice activities at the start of the trip before goin through the rapids. In July the water is refreshing but not cold. You will get wet! The last part is mainly peddling back to the buss. There are no showers at the end, so bring a towel and a dry set of clothes. Great fun with the kids. If you are more experienced you might want to try the longer trips they offer.

Fun and action packed - Great fun and lots of action. We had an excellent guide! This was the first time my 12 year old had experienced rafting and Jesse was outstanding with him.

One of the best time I’ve had for a long time - I would love to thank everyone at raging thunder particularly Karel our guide on the raft I was on for one of the best time I’ve ever had . From time you get picked on the bus with wonderful staff and reach the gorge and the professional setup as you get on the raft and the fun begins, I highly recommend for every one to try this and this great people and company thank you Karel for making this fun

Brilliant fun Baron river - absolutely brilliant afternoon.! Well organised.! This is brilliant for families with kids or someone who has a trying it out for the first time .! If you want more of a thrill definitely do the Tully river .! Our guide today was Kyle he was absolutely brilliant.! Made the whole experience fun for my family and the other guys with us .! Five stars cheers mate.!👍

Ok just over priced - We had to pay an extra $177 on arrival, total of +$800 for 5 people The staff were good just way over priced for the activity
