Highlights
  • Joshua Tree National Park - We provide you an informative and entertaining tour of Joshua Tree with one of our professional geology guides. You will explore the park with a professional eco guide while you explore the ancient geological landscape that was once the home of the Serrano Indians.

We also take you to the most photographed places in the park and take a walk in an area where you can find Indian cave drawings and even an old dam left by cowboys long past.

  • Cap Rock Trail - Explore with your guide enormous rock formations exposed at the Earths surface that were produced by the very forces of the San Andreas Fault miles beneath. Here rocks seem to precariously balance upon one another in a fight between gravity and subterranean forces. A 30 minute optional guided walk is made here.
  • Intersection Rock - This iconic rock formation is one of the most popular places in the park for rock climbers. Gawk at the climbers as they challenge the perils of the 3rd dimension.
  • Barker Dam Trail - Take an optional hike with your Wilderness guide on this Trail originally lay down by the Cowboys. This will take you by Indian petroglyphs as well as a water resource that is used by high elevation Bighorn Sheep and deer.

This area is surrounded with 20 million year old Miocene rock formations that are the vaunted destination for expert rock climbers all over the world.

  • Keys View - Gawk at a view that stretches for hundreds of miles. From this high point in Joshua Tree you can see as far as the Salton Sea and all the way down to Mexico on a clear day.

You might even be able to make out your hotel on this escarpment that borders the famous San Andreas Fault. Look below this ledge we will stop at and you will see the fault line itself which stretches for over 800 miles.

Amazing and wondrous tour of Joshua Tree - Adventure Hummer Tours was a great company to do the tour with. Tom, our guide was super knowledgeable about the national park and knew awesome secret trails and spots. Not sure what the activity level that was stated but definitely considered moderately strenuous. There was some uphill treks. Definitely doable though. I can’t really put into words how incredible the landscape was. Picture don’t really do it justice. You just have to be there. We thought it was going to be unbearably hot because August is the hottest month. But it was actually ok. It’s the down season so we didn’t have to deal with crowds and could have the vistas to ourselves. I highly recommend this tour with this company.

Brilliant day & the highlight of our 3 week holiday !! - This was the highlight of our 3 week holiday in California myself alongside my wife and my son all loved it! A massive part of it was due to our tour guide Gary being BRILLIANT ! He was a really genuine nice guy and was brilliant with our son Haris aged 6 who stuck by his side most of the day. Gary had extensive knowledge and was keen to share it with us over the day we all learnt so much about the desert / the Joshua trees and the Native people who lived there as well as other useful facts. All of it was delivered in a friendly and fun way. (no cheese like some other tours we did in Hollywood this was a classy tour and inspiring day) Thanks Gary for giving us a really special day we will all remember, Haris has said it was the best day ever! Thanks from Paul Nargis and Haris :)

Good experience - Enjoyed the tour, and I am glad we booked the air conditioned vehicle, as it was really hot. The park is very large, so it was nice to be taken to key destinations in the park to take photos. Our tour guide was informative, and helpful. He provided us with cold water through out the trip, just wished the snacks were better.

Joshua Tree National Park mus see if you are visiting California - We have a great time , learned a lot. We take a ton of photos lots of them from the car. We stop 3 times to take some pictures. If I would know the tour is in the van I will drive in my car. Our son was disappointed that the advertising is saying Hummer and instead we are touring in the van But other than that love it.
