As a marine biologist, my love for the ocean is boundless, and my recent trip to Palma Nova for the Open Water Diving Course was nothing short of exhilarating. Udo and Ursula, the owners, exude a passion for diving that is infectious, and their professionalism is evident in every aspect of the dive center.

The course began with a thorough briefing, where I was introduced to my instructors, Jonathon, Mario, Marcel, and Dominik. Their multilingual abilities and seamless communication made the learning process smooth and enjoyable. The initial exercises in shallow water were a perfect introduction, allowing me to acclimate to the equipment and the underwater environment. The instructors’ poise and confidence were reassuring, and their dedication to safety and enjoyment was palpable.

Each dive was meticulously planned, and the boat captain, Nora, ensured a smooth journey to the dive sites. Her assistance in suiting up and her knowledge of the local waters added an extra layer of comfort to the experience.

The underwater photography session was a highlight, capturing the mesmerizing beauty of the marine life and the intricate coral formations. As someone who studies these ecosystems, witnessing them firsthand in such a vivid and intimate way was both thrilling and humbling.
