HIERAPOLIS (PAMUKKALE) was an ancient Greco-Roman city in Phrygia, situated on hot springs in southwest Anatolia. Its ruins are adjacent to the modern town of Pamukkale. Hierapolis is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The hot springs have been utilized as a spa since the 2nd century B.C., attracting visitors seeking relief from ailments, with many choosing to retire or spend their final days here.

This tour includes one shopping break. Some of the highlights include the extensive necropolis filled with sarcophagi, the main street featuring gates and latrines, the cathedral, the theatre, and St. Philip’s tomb. The hot springs create stunning cascades known as the Cotton Castle. Due to the distance, the tour departs from Antalya early and returns late, but the experience of this magnificent place is truly worthwhile.
