At 9:30 AM, guests will be picked up from the Pamukkale hotel to begin a 30-minute drive to Laodicea. The first stop of the tour is the ancient city of Laodicea, located 10 km from Pamukkale. This settlement was established by Seleucid King Antiochus II, who named it after his wife. Laodicea was a significant location during the Roman and Christian periods. Accompanied by a tour guide, visitors will explore the ruins and learn about the city’s history. Highlights include temples, fountains, an ancient theatre, a stadium, and a gymnasium. After exploring Laodicea, the tour continues to Kaklik Cave.
The next stop is Kaklik Cave, renowned for its thermal springs. This site features naturally formed structures similar to those in Pamukkale. Thermal springs flow into the cave, creating a stunning natural backdrop. The final stop of the excursion is Salda Lake.
Salda Lake, located in southwestern Turkey, is a mid-sized crater lake with a unique atmosphere that captivates all who visit. Known as nature’s virgin wonder, Salda Lake is home to various species, including unique plants and animals. Situated within the Burdur province, about fifty kilometers from the city center, it is part of the Turkish Lakes Region, which boasts numerous lakes and a distinctive environment. After visiting Salda Lake, guests will be returned to their Pamukkale hotel.
