Pamukkale in December - Great experience and so much history. Not as many tourists this time of year and the thermal springs were warm. Eren was a great tour guude and we had plenty of time to explore independently.

Lovely peaceful day at Pamukkale/Hierapolis - Had a long fun day with Erdem, our guide. He was informative and kept us entertained on the drive over, and gave us plenty of time to ourselves at the site. I booked super last minute but they were nice enough to accommodate us. December is a good time to go because you have the theater and terraces almost to yourself, and you can really take your time and explore the sights and soak in the view. Definitely check out the theater - it’s beautiful and very impressive. I can imagine the terraces being crowded and hot during the high season, but in December there were not too many people about. They are surreal and striking and make for some unique photo ops.
