The whole area, which is under protection as a UNESCO Mixed Heritage Site, hosts some of the best-preserved examples of Roman architecture. The ancient street that passes through the necropolis, which contains more than a thousand sarcophagi, will lead you to the inner city where you’ll see the Byzantine Gate, The Domitian Gate, and the baths. And then, you’ll visit the sacred pool, which even the renowned Queen Cleopatra herself came to visit, has natural healing features, and a magical appearance.
