Highlights
- San Antonio Palopo - We visit a local Ceramic factory to learn about the process and see how it is made. we also visit the local Chocolate factory, the dock and shops by the water
- Santa Catarina Palopo - During this stop we are able to learn and see local weavings, clothing, blankets, and many of the local goods made at this village. We also visit the local cultural center where we can taste some local coffee and chocolate, and lastly head over to the dock where we can do some shopping or grab a snack and drinks at the waterfront restaurant.
- Panajachel - we head over to Playa Blanca en Barrio Jucanya for some pictures and check out the edge of the lake with the locals before heading back to Simoon Pana office.

Additional Information
We have brought fun and excitement and mixed it in with the beauty and cultural experiences the lake has to offer. We depart from our office in Panajachel and head over to Barrio Jucanya and visit Playa los Salpores, the local beach located on the edge of the lake to take our first clear view of the lake and its surroundings. After spending some time there we make our way to the colorful village of Santa Catarina Palopo. In this village we are able to see and learn about local weavings, blankets, nahuales and other goods made and sold by the locals. At the plaza of this village, we visit a local coffee house where you can grind your own coffee and taste the locally grown beans. Once finished in Santa Catarina we hop back on our ATVs to the village of San Antonio Palopo. We visit local ceramic factory where we learn about the process to make all these incredible goods. We also visit a local chocolate factory in San Antonio where we learn about the process…

A must do! - This was great!! I highly recommended this tour :) Yeshua was our guide and he was awesome!! It was super fun cruising on the ATVs and I learned so much about the textile process, bought some ceramics, and learned more about cacao. It was a fun unique way to visit other villages. I took the 2pm and we got back around 530. Well organized and I would do again :)

Tour started off in Panajachel and made 3 stops across the lake. Amazing experience and I recommend to everyone else………. - I 100% recommend this tour! Everything went great, from learning of the culture to the amazing views we had of lake Atitlan! This tour is a must!

Great Tour! - Great tour! Yeshua (the tour guide) was very knowledgeable and accommodating. I was the only person on the tour, so it was a great experience to have a private guided tour.

Fabulous day! - Amazing experience. Our guide was super nice. We visited beautiful villages. I highly recommend this adventure. We went with our teenage kids. They loved it too.

Driving the ATV was so... - Driving the ATV was so much fun! At first it was a little hard but you soon get the hang of it. My favorite part was the route that passed a beatiful view of the river. Also on the way back the sun was setting and the breeze made it perfect. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. He took us to three different little stores: coffee, ceramic, and chocolate shop. My favorite one was the chocolate shop where we tried pieces of the different levels/percentages of the chocolate and the rum they had with cacao extract. In addition they had a beauty supply shop within that had all organic products made from the cacao extract as well. Overall, very fun, learning experience.

Amazing views and local treats! - Our tour guide was awesome and super informative (unfortunately we didn’t catch his name). The check in process was smooth and we felt safe throughout the whole experience. We got to walk through two small villages, try local treats, such as organic, locally grown coffee and chocolate, as well as walk through a ceramic shop. If you are looking for an educational and scenic experience around lake atitlan, I highly recommend booking with Simoon Tours Panajachel.

Fun Atitlan atv adventure - Very fun ride with beautiful views. Guide was awesome as well and very informative about mayan culture. While it was fun it was very safe thanks to the guide always being on alert

Great experience! - Pedro took my husband and I on a private ATV ride through some amazing villages where we went to a hot springs,drank coffee,learned about pottery making,and chocolate! He was so kind and knowledgable and fun! I was new to riding an ATV and he was so helpful and made me feel comfortable. Highly recommend!

Amazing ATV Tour - Incredible experience! Ended up being a private tour because no one else showed up. Pedro was amazing- such a nice, great guy!! He really personalized the experience and easily made this the best day of my trip. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Panajachel!
