FONTANHAS HERITRAGE WALK - with MARIO - Mario is a wondeful host and guide.
He has a special knack to make Goanese culture, traditions, mysteries / myths, and his special love for everything Goan come out succintly and understandable to those new to Goa.
The walk was more of an informal chat all through, putting us at ease and gave us courage to delve into popular myths.
For instance why the tour is to showcase 'colonial quarters' and NOT 'latin quarter'. Thank you Mario for this clarity.
Tasting of local delicaies in that nicely tucked in cafe on 31st Jan lane is unmissable part of the tour.
Good luck to you Mario and thanks for being - above all - a wondeful human being.

Fantastic - The second tour I took with Mario was to see the Goa of the past in the present. The walk in the Fontainhas neighborhood was wonderful and the coffee break at the 31 de Janeiro confectionery was delicious, where I tasted the best drink of my life. There are also other Goan specialties that I ate and recommend. Gastronomy is part of the culture of a people and Goan in particular is one to eat and cry for more. I also recommend the tour where you visit a "spice plantation" with a delicious lunch, followed by a guided tour of the plantation!

Highly recommend! - We had a great tour with Mario through Panji. He explained very detailed the history of the old town. We even had the chance to had a bite of local snacks and were able to see an old family building from back then. We can highly recommend Mario as an excellent guide!

Get the best of Goa from the best of Goa- Mario - Mario was exceptional. Professionalism exemplified. He is a local who carries unbiased unadulterated updated information both current and historic and very engaging in his delivery of the facts. Every bit of the tour was well arranged and top notch execution. No hiccups whatsoever. One of our group members had a small cut while getting off the bus, Mario made it unnecessary to find any medical store. He was prepared with a first aid kit. (kinda expected from a tour guide but no one expects they'll actually carry it. You know what I mean?)
Yeah so the overall experience was worth down to the last coin.
Locals like Mario adds to the beauty of Goa.

Absolutely amazing - Taking a tour with Mario is an absolute MUST if you’re visiting Goa. He provided so much information about the various historical sites, and shuttled us in air conditioned comfort. He answered any and all of our questions, and made sure that we had a great time seeing and learning about the different areas of Goa.

Immersive walk through Fontainhas - Amazing walk through Fontainhas with Mario, who grew up in the area and holds a wealth of information about the neighborhood. He answered each and every question we had and pointed out interesting details we otherwise wouldn't have noticed. He even recommended a few shops we could visit later on throughout our trip, which we did and ended up having wonderful experiences with locals. Truly a wonderful experience, thank you Mario.

Fontainhas tour with Mario - Goa is not just beaches and parties. There's also a whole lot of history and culture associated with the place that most tourists never try to learn about.
But those who are bitten by the history bug should definitely try the walking tour in the heart of Panjim with Mario, a brilliant guide who knows the city (and Goa in general) inside out.
Mario is a storyteller who really gets you intrigued, gets you asking all sorts of questions about how the city and its dwellers used to be back in the day. His understanding of the Portuguese influence, the Konkani culture, the mindset of the locals - all of it makes for a wonderful day outing in the colourful, quaint lanes of Fontainhas.
Worth the money, easy.

History of Goa - Mario knows much (everything) about Goa‘s history. We walked through the old quarter and Mario was excellent at connecting the history of the houses with the history of Goa. He invited me to a refreshing lemonade at a small merchant and to selected patisserie in the most famous bakery of Goa, yammi! Thank you Mario!
