What a packed, varied and exciting day. - We experienced a day of contrasting experiences, sites, and activities. We were collected from our hotel at 9am by our driver for the day, Sanjay. Although we some idea of what was to follow the reality exceeded our expectations. Our first stop was the Catholic Bascilica and SE Cathedral in Old Goa. We also visited the nearby Achelogical museum. We then drove to the Hindu Mangeshi temple where a priest told us our fortune for a few rupees. Next was a guided tour of a spice plantation and lunch. ( All included). We then drove to Panjai town centre for some sightseeing and retail therapy, then onto Mirimar beach. The final stop was a "cruise with cultural music and live DJ". (Again, price included with Sanjay, ensuring we got on board in good time). What a great way to end a memorable day, as we sailed into the sunset dancing and having fun with young and old a like. We arrived back at our hotel about 8pm, with smiles on our faces.

S Goa - We had a nice tour of south Goa and saw some beautiful places including churches, temples and even a mosques. The visit to the spice plantation was very informative and topped off with some very delicious food at the end! Our tour guide Ms. was very knowledgeable and a great guide. She went above and beyond to explain the history of places we saw and and to answer our questions. She also got us some extra delicacies than were not on the menu at the plantation. I also liked the fact that we were not pushed to buy things but rather left at our own will to buy or not to buy.. Overall an enjoyable day!!

Great Sites, But Questionable Tour Company - Overall, the sites on the tour were amazing, and the lunch at the plantation far more than expected. As far as the tour company, the driver was late, and then when he had arrived, it turns out he had been given the wrong location and that was more then an hour away. So by the time he got to us, it was 2 hours later for us to start. This pretty much shifted our entire day then. Any concerns or questions sent to my original tour company contact went unanswered. When we finally started the tour, everything seemed rushed, and the tour guide didn't seem to know which sites we were going to, so we had to make sure to hit the ones that were important to us. The guide did a good job of not rushing my aging mother, and making accommodations for her needing a cane, which was considerate of him. Overall great sites, but I wonder if another company would've helped folks tour them better.

Private driver for Goa highlights - So this was advertised as a private tour with a local guy. I saw two temples and the main cathedral, as well as went to a spice plantation. It was a long day in the car but lovely. The driver was courteous and friendly, and very accommodating, If I ask him to do something. However, he was not a guide and so I was basically just driven from place to place. Which I could have done by hiring a driver myself. So I think the advertising on this is very misleading. If you just want a driver, that’s what this is. However, if you want somebody with local knowledge who can tell you about the history, then this is not the tour for you. I was pretty disappointed because I wanted to learn more, but very happy with the driver. I would recommend doing this with somebody who could at least give you a little bit of background about the beautiful things that you were seeing. Again, this was not the driver’s fault at all but Viatours fault as it was advertising It as something it wasn’t.

Not what it promised! It's just a taxi service! - This tour promised a lot on paper, however it fell very short on what it delivered and didn't meet our expectation! We were picked up from our hotel by a friendly driver who was simply that..the driver. He had no itinerary! There was no guide nor a leaflet provided giving information on the places we were visiting. We visited one church , given directions to walk to the next stop Fountanais, and then back to meet the driver where he dropped us off! Then only one stop (as the next two stops were closed )at a Temple, before visiting the Spice Plantation and lunch, which we did enjoy. I would NOT recommend this tour as I could simply have booked my own taxi at far less cost and told the driver where to take us! I have given it 1/5 and that is for the friendly driver.
