- Casco Viejo - When most people get to Panama City they end up in Casco Viejo (normally a bit jet lagged) and walk around aimlessly thinking that Panama is more expensive than Switzerland. Throughout the tour I will be giving old history, advise on safety in different areas, best food stands, social history, tips on visiting the city, etc. This tour will allow the guests to not waste time getting to know the area on their own and then go to see the Panama Canal for the 1400-1500 window the ships pass through generally. We will start in the Casco Viejo to try the Geisha coffee and make friends with the other guests on the tour. Then go into Santa Ana for a taste of real Panama with several food tastings and then back into Casco for more of the traditional tour with many current local touches. The tour will end at a café for lunch (lunch not included). Included in the price of the tour are many local food tastings, juice, coffee, and local chocolate.
