Great combination of history and nature - Mario was a very attentive and engaging guide. His love of Panama shines through. After our walk up Anton Hill and around part of the Canal Zone, I feel I understand Panama’s history a little better. We were lucky enough to see two sloths and some tamarind monkeys. Views well worth the uphill walk (but it’s slow and gentle).

Felt like family - Mario was absolutely amazing from picking me up at the airport to sharing so much information about the history and culture of Panama. The best part was Mario's sincere thoughtfulness throughout the three tours he led for me.

Great walk, be wary of the rain - Our guide picked us up right on time and he was full of information and energy. We enjoyed about ⅔ of a very lovely walk before we were caught in torrential rain. As it was a hike up the hill and back down, it didn’t make sense to turn around (it wouldn’t have made us any drier!) so we continued to the top. Obviously there was nothing to see from up there in the rain. So I can’t speak to the view as we did not experience that. I gave this 4 stars because I wish the guide had brought water along. We were all thirsty after the long walk…
