For chocolate lovers - Mirin was the one that give the class she was the best. Told about the vision how it started and everything about the cacoa. How it became something they started with it in Panama.

Definitely a must for a cute excursion - Definitely was a fun and cute experience! I like the fact they allowed us to be hands on in their presentation. Made it more fun! Plus we got to leave with our own chocolate that we made. It was cute!

A Memorable Experience - Tasting+Education+Fun - Amazing class! If you are interested in chocolate - how it's made from bean to bar, what the various stages taste like - this is a perfect class for you. Friendly, professional instruction and lots of interesting experiences: learning about the process, lots of tasting, and some crafting (making your own chocolate bar). The instructor (one of the chocolatiers who does this work every day) took us through all of the foundations: the pod, the whitish, gummy beans inside (and you get to taste this - it's a bit like a passionfruit), the roasting and cracking of the beans (tasting again - the whole bean and a cracked nib), then the processes to create the key ingredients in modern chocolate, and finally the process of making a chocolate bar (including tasting the pre-tempered and post-tempered chocolate, and of course the finished bar you poured and get to take home). We also got to taste a bonbon with a plantain "mousse" kind of filling (delicious). We learned how to fill the mould, clear it off, add some ingredients (nuts, dried banana, etc.), Very friendly and professional, would be great for couples, small groups, and family (probably best for kids who can mind - making the bar especially requires a bit of motor skill and maturity, plus a bit of height since things are at kitchen-level). Completely optional, but if you want, you can buy chocolate bars or various box-sizes of bonbons. For us, this was about US$8 for an 82% dark chocolate bar (the bar you make in the class is part of the class fee) and $24 for a box of 9 beautiful bonbons. We're planning to repeat this on our next trip to Panama!

More accurately called ‘learning about chocolate and making your own bar’ - Our instructor was charming and knowledgeable and did a great job including kids and adults in her presentation. Calling it ‘chocolate making’ is a little misleading since you can’t make chocolate in an hour. But you can taste fresh cocoa pods and pour your own chocolate bar while drinking Prosecco.

Engaging Experience, but Misleading Name - The background and history provided were informative and engaging. However, I would suggest renaming the activity to "Chocolate Tasting" rather than "Chocolate Making and Tasting," as we didn't actually make chocolate. Instead, we had the opportunity to taste a variety of chocolates and poured melted chocolate into molds, adding toppings of our choice. Additionally, it’s worth noting that a drink, which was mentioned in the included section, was not provided.

Look for other options - Good, but overpriced for what it is. Hard to find. Not welcoming. Left feeling less than satisfied with the experience.

Misleading experience - The staff is nice and it was interesting learning about the chocolate making process. Now, the experience is called “Class for chocolate making” which is misleading. We didn’t really make any chocolate (only poured liquid chocolate into a mold). Pictures show that you would be more involved in the process, but we didn’t even go into the kitchen. Therefore, I wouldn’t call this experience a chocolate making class and it was overpriced for what it was. The tasting was good but it’s the same chocolate you can taste if you walk inside the store. The brand is cool but there is a lot of room for improvement with this experience.

Nome and Viator Stole my Money! - I tried changing the date of my class and the Viator app allowed me to book within an hour of this chocolate making class, but apparently, this was not something the company could actually do. This would not have been a problem, except, when I contacted Viator for a refund, they refused to provide it. I was scheduled to participate in the 4pm class on Wed, Dec 18th and the company offered NO class on this day. I actually reached out to Viator's WhatsApp just after 4pm that day (while I was in the Nome studio after discovering there was no class that day), so obviously there was no class going on. Viator said they would reach out to Nome to verify that I did not take part in the class and once they did, I'd get a refund. They then emailed me days later stating, "Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to offer a refund. We apologize that you were not able to fulfill your travel plans, and hope that we may be of service to you in your future travels." I paid for an experience that Nome did not even offer that day and Nome and Viator kept my money anyway.
