- Miraflores Visitor Center - The tour will visit the Miraflores Visitor Center and Locks, located just 20 minutes from the city. This visit is perfectly timed to witness ships navigating the Canal, observing how they are raised or lowered depending on their direction. The process will be explained, and all questions will be answered. Following this, there will be a screening of a 45-minute IMAX movie about the history of the Panama Canal, narrated by Morgan Freeman. It’s a fascinating film that’s truly worthwhile. The center also features a cafeteria, bar, and souvenir shop. The Panama Canal is situated 85 feet above sea level, with two sets of locks on the Pacific side, two artificial lakes, and another set of locks on the Atlantic side. These locks function as water elevators, lifting ships to the level of the artificial lake atop the mountains, allowing them to traverse the isthmus before being lowered back to sea level on the other side. This remarkable engineering feat was accomplished over 100 years ago by the Americans.
- Amador Causeway (Calzada de Amador) - The Amador Causeway is an artificial road constructed from the dirt and rocks excavated in 1914 to connect three islands at the Canal’s entrance, serving as a breakwater. During World War II, it was a U.S. military site, and today it is a tourist area offering stunning views of Panama City’s skyline. This is a panoramic tour with a stop for photos at the Panama sign.
- Casco Viejo - This walking tour explores the old city, the most iconic part of Panama City. The tour begins at Plaza V Centenario, the entrance to the old city, with a historical overview of Panama. It continues to The Lady of Mercy Church and museum, Plaza Herrera, San Jose Church, La Campania Convent, Santo Domingo Church, The French Square, Esteban Huertas Walkway (perfect for photos), San Francisco Church, Plaza Bolivar, and concludes at Plaza Cathedral, the heart of the city. This is a group tour with occasional stops for photos or shopping.
- Mirador de Las Americas - This lookout point at the end of the Las Americas Bridge offers breathtaking views of the bridge and the Canal, perfect for photography.
- Amador Causeway (Calzada de Amador) - The tour stops at the Naos Island parking lot, providing a view of Panama City’s skyline for more photos, and also offers a chance to see sloths in the surrounding trees.
