Casco Viejo, also referred to as Casco Antiguo, Old Town, or San Felipe, is the historic area of Panama City. Established and inhabited in 1673, it was constructed after the almost complete destruction of the original city, Panamá Viejo, in 1671 due to a pirate attack. It was recognized as a World Heritage Site in 1997. Visitors can buy souvenirs like Molas and handmade crafts.

Explore the simulator, view artifacts, photos, and learn about the history of this remarkable engineering feat that continues to influence global shipping. • Amador Causeway (Calzada de Amador) - Amador serves as the gateway to the Panama Canal. Once a Naval Station, it now hosts a museum, convention center, numerous restaurants, and shops for souvenir shopping. If time permits, this could be a chance for a quick snack. Please inform us if interested.

Enjoy a visit to the IMAX Theater to watch the 3D film ‘Panama Canal: A Land Divided - A World United,’ narrated by Morgan Freeman. Screenings last 45 minutes and are scheduled at 8:45 am, 9:45 am, 11:00 am, 12:15 pm, 1:30 pm, 2:45 pm, 4:00 pm, and 5:15 pm. Explore the souvenir shop, view historical museum artifacts, photos, and documents, and experience the ship transit simulator for a firsthand experience. Head to the viewing deck to watch a ship transit the canal. The itinerary will be arranged based on the visitor’s arrival time and the transit schedule of a ship through the Panama Canal.
