Great way to see the overall area - Excellent way to see the city and deter where you want to go back and see more. Tour guide was very knowledgeable.

Good way to see Panama City - It was more like a 3.7, bus was clean, operators were nice and talked a lot during the rides - but, the diesel smell sometimes took over while riding on the top. The bottom was fine but not cooler, despite being air conditioned. Also, expect some delays when you get off and wait for the next bus. An hour became over 1 1/2 hours while waiting at Albrook Mall.

Great way to see Panama City on a short cruise ship excursion - City Sightseeing is a great way to see Panama City! We were on a cruise that docked at the new Panama City Cruise Terminal. There is a City Sightseeing stop only a 5-minute walk from the doors of the new terminal. So, you can skip all the taxis, Ubers, vans, and everyone else heckling you for a ride to town. Instead, we walked on the wide, paved sidewalk from the terminal to the round-a-bout at Av. Amador. We hopped-on, showed our paper QR code copy of our Viator tickets, which the guide scanned, then we took a seat. Since we were in Panama City on a Monday, many of the businesses and tourist attractions were closed. So, we hopped-off at the Miraflores locks (pre-book your tickets online to skip the line) Visitor Center, and a couple other stops for food, coffee, and souvenirs. Despite heavy tropical rains during several hours of our day in-port, Panama City was a great stop and City Sightseeing was a great way to see much of the city as quickly as possible. Marked down one-star only because many of the seats on the top level of the bus were not fastened securely to the frame, causing the seats to rock uncontrollably. Also, we hopped-off at Flamenco Island to watch the sunset and the guide said the final bus of the day would be there in about 45 minutes. Real-time tracking on the app indicated there was a bus on the router, but unfortunately the final bus never came to Flamenco Island. So, after sunset, we walked 16 minutes back to the cruise terminal. Send a handyman through with a wrench to tighten the seats, and make sure guests fully understand which bus is the final bus of the day, and these busses would be 5-stars!

Ok but usually better - Buses seemed a little worse for wear. Very unpredictable timing when they coming oh no, it’s a good experience, but I would just remember there’s a lot of steps that seem pointless. And also, they don’t go downtown really just the outskirts

Good experience, but pick... - Good experience, but pick up time between stops is too long. If you hop-off in a stop to walk around and take pics, then need to wait 1 1/2 hour to hop-on again. We were only able to stop in two points. Also, last bus finish too early.

Expensive waste of time - Excellent way to become orientated when visiting a new city, and to learn a bit about the city. Unfortunately the Panama version of this franchise spends little time in the city, but it does visit the Canal and nearby islands. The description of what we were seeing was inaudible, even when sitting directly below the single speaker on the top deck. These buses run every 75 minutes, but there is no timetable of what time it passes each stop. So you have to wait, possibly for an hour or more, in the hope of a bus coming soon. A timetable or even better, live tracking of buses, is desperately needed. Not cheap. Sorry but I can’t recommend this

Mechanical troubles - Not the typical HOHO bus. No headphones, but live guide, giving narration in English and Spanish, if you speak a different language you are out of luck. Our bus had no air conditioning and overheated twice on the route, had to sit and let the engine cool down 10-15 min.

1st half had bi-lingual... - 1st half had bi-lingual guide, but 2nd half after Miraflores Locks, there was no guide or narrative. Heavy promotion (and 2 drive bys) of a building with a zip line. Schedule was difficult to find online, but meeting point is well marked on the main street. Paid for 2 day pass, didn't bother going back for 2nd day, since schedule was unclear.

Timetable was a disaster. Poor experience. - The positives: red open top bus, the young tour guides were kind and tried their best. The stops were sort of uninspired. The Pueblito souvenir village was hopeless. A couple of shops and a cafe. The stop at the canal center didn't include entry to the actual exhibition. Budget a further $17 per person for that. The worst thing was that there seemed to be no timetable for the next bus, which makes 'hop on, hop off' a waste of time. Getting off at the Pueblito the driver said the next bus would be at the stop in an hour and fifteen. Less than an hour later the next bus drove past without stopping. We and another couple took a taxi to the next stop (the canal). We waited for that bus and got off again at a later stop for lunch. The driver said the next bus would arrive at 3.15. It arrived at 2.40. This time we were ready for crazy inaccurate times and caught the bus to the Casco Antigua where we didn't even bother to try to catch the next bus but explored a little and took an Uber back to the hotel.

Just Bad Business All The Way Around - Waited 2hrs COOKING in the sun bus didn't come. Said they couldn't even tell us when the bus would arrive (?!) I guess the drivers don't have cell phones. They gave refunds to some people. I booked online so they said I had to request the refund online. Did that. They, of course, declined to refund. Didn't specify a reason. Didn't offer another excursion or any consolation in lieu of the declined refund or the experience of just sitting there in the sun for hours, wasting limited vacation time, money wasted in transportation getting there, etc. No consideration. No care. Just bad business all the way around.
