Fantastic Tour - We contacted the tour group and asked to set up a private city tour for our group of 4. They were very responsive and asked what we wanted to see - a local’s view of Panama City (after 2 weeks in S America we have seen enough churches and museums). From Casco Antigua to the canal, we covered a lot of ground in 6 hours. Our guide, Ernesto, was knowledgeable and fun to be with. Highly recommend this team.

Wonderful experience! - Our tour guide Eric did an amazing job educating us. The best part was the casca viejo exploration. Also getting to see the panama canal in action was a surreal experience.

Panama City Sampler - Erick was really cool! Although I opted for the 10 am tour, we started with a 7:30 pickup, which ended up being the perfect time to catch a ship passing through the Panama Canal before the day got too hot. We got a comprehensive tour of the city with Erick providing history and context right through. He even stopped to point out some sloths chilling in tree tops!

Panama City - Ernesto was fantastic! His knowledge of Panama is second to none. He took us around Casco Viejo while stopping to give us Panama's history. He took us down Calzada de Amador which was so beautiful! We then went to Vera Cruz where we enjoyed some of the best seafood we ever ate. We finished with a tour of the Mira Flores locks which was so informative. This was a great tour that you must do in Panama City!

Old Town and Panama Canal - We enjoyed an afternoon visiting Old Town, Marina Causeway (Panama sign) and the Canal. Old Town is very charming and has lots of little shops and vendors everywhere, from clothing and trinkets to chocolate and coffee. The church in the square was very charming as well, and holds a lot of history....in fact, the entire Old Town area is a historical marvel. From there we travelled to the causeway and took a pic in front of the Panama sign, which we could have done without, as there is really not much else there and travel around the city takes a while and is always congested. The Panama Canal is a complete marvel and is certainly worth a visit. In addition, visitors can watch a 45-minute Imax movie. Our guide knew a lot about the city and was very informative. In hindsight, I would recommend a longer period of time at Old Town and the tour said it went until 7:35, but we finished an hour earlier (not sure why).

Eventually the tour was great but it did not start off that way - Initially the tour wasn't going well. After the tour operator reached out a few days prior to explain how it works, we were told they will reach out the night before to confirm the logistics (type of bus, driver etc). It got close to 9pm the night before the scheduled tour and we did not hear from the operator so we reached out and didn't get a response until after 11pm. The tour operator told us who the driver will be and indicated he would contact us directly when he is close. Our tour was scheduled for 7:30am and by 8, we didn't hear from the driver so we again reached out to the tour operator who didnt respond. A little after 8, we were approached by someone who indicated he was the brother of the driver who was assigned to us. The original driver could no longer make it so he asked his brother if he could fill it. We didn't appreciate that as the driver or tour operator could have given us a heads up. We didn't appreciate the lack of communication. That being said, the new driver was amazing very friendly, funny and knowledgeable and spoke excellent English so in the end it turned out well but it could have been a nightmare.
