- Miraflores Visitor Center - A visit to Panama is incomplete without seeing the Panama Canal. Witness Panamax Ships navigating the locks and observe how these massive vessels are raised or lowered 26 feet in just 10 minutes.
- IMAX Canal de Panama - Be sure to watch the documentary “A Land Divided - A World United,” narrated by American actor Morgan Freeman. Discover the history, construction, operation, and its impact on global trade and energy efficiency of the Panama Canal.
- Mirador de Las Americas - The Bridge of The Americas, constructed in 1962 by the former Panama Canal Commission, links the North and South American continents. We’ll visit this viewpoint to admire the view of the bridge over the Panama Canal’s entrance.
- Panama Canal Administration Building - This is the most iconic structure of the former Panama Canal Zone. It is located on the Ancon hillside, overlooking the Panama Canal’s entrance and the ports of Balboa and Rodman. The monument to GW Goethals graces the plaza at the base of its steps.
- Biblioteca Presidente Roberto F. Chiari - Visit the “Eternal Flame,” a monument honoring the Panamanian martyrs who lost their lives during the events of January 9th, 1964.
- Amador Causeway (Calzada de Amador) - The Amador Causeway is a picturesque roadway in the former Fort Amador, connecting the mainland to three small islands at the Panama Canal’s entrance: Naos, Perico, and Flamenco. Originally constructed with materials excavated from the canal’s construction, the causeway provides breathtaking views of the city skyline, the canal waterway, and the Panama Canal’s anchorage area. The Amador Causeway also includes the Panama Cruise Terminal, the late General Omar Torrijos mausoleum, marinas, shops, entertainment venues, and the renowned Panama sign, a must-see during your visit.
