The Park plays a crucial role in the operation of the Panama Canal, benefiting from the rainforest and the contributing streams of Lake Gatun. Furthermore, it is a part of a biological passageway extending from the Pacific to the Atlantic Ocean. Our route will take us past the former Canal Zone, Pedro Miguel Locks, Centenario Bridge, and the French Cemetery (established in memory of the canal laborers).
With the assistance of our bilingual guide, you’ll traverse through the heavy tropical foliage, keeping an eye out for various species such as birds, monkeys, butterflies, frogs, and more, while receiving an enriching explanation about the amazing biodiversity of this region.
