What an amazing experience! lovely staff 🥰 - My brother and I had a great experience at freedive academy for our 3-day beginner’s free-diving course! The facility is really good including the equipment. All the staff were easy to dealt with and very friendly, Misha was very accommodating, communication was excellent! very straight forward no hassle. the course was so much more than we expect! well structured and comprehensive. The pool sessions and open water sessions were not cramped making sure we had enough time. We even had to tap out at times 😜. ‘Twas also nice to meet other students who encourages one another. Many thanks to our coaches! Olga, Ven and Jomay! Really dedicated in their craft and students 😍. Very patient and will really ensure your safety throughout the course… Olga is a very good teacher, won’t give up on you and will really try her best for you to learn what you need to learn, giving good feedback/ corrections on the techniques was very helpful and encouraging! Ven was very chill love her vibes, very encouraging and took her time to teach us even during lunch break to help with our equalising. Thank you heaps guys!!! Will definitely be back again if time and my AL permits! haha keep it up freedive academy! Amazing service! worth the money! 😎😎😎

I have felt really welcomed into a group of passionate, inspiring people who genuinely care about each other and the ocean. An amazing freediving experience - I had an amazing time doing a beginner freediving course. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. I had Ramar as my instructor. He was very knowledgeable, clearly loves freediving, and I always felt safe diving with him. He was also very patient and encouraging. He would work with us outside of class if there was anything we were struggling with or wanted to improve on. The location where we were diving was also incredible, and very close to the school. It was an incredible experience, and I would highly recommend Freedive Academy Panglao for anyone wanting to freedive in Panglao.

Only free dive in Panglao with Freedive Academy Panglao - I had a great time at Freedive Academy Panglao. The entire team is so humble and welcoming. They are all cheerleaders for you to do well. I would 100% recommend them. A special shout-out to my National Record holder (he never mentioned it once!!) instructor Mr. Ramar Acuna for his positive, patient and all in all a great instructor’s approach through out 🙌🏼

Professional set up - Superb beginner and advanced course. Ramar was an excellent instructor, very informative and personable. Very high levels of safety. Very professional. Really enjoyed my time there and would highly recommend.

Great experience, great teacher - I am a solo traveller who wanted to start freediving. I did my research and found that the Freedive academy was well recommended so I booked to do my Mochanov Wave 1 course and to stay at the academy. The course was great-my instructor, Ram, was fun and patient and was an excellent teacher. There was only one other person on the course with me and we also became fast friends. The course was difficult but so much fun. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to freedive. Panglao as well is one of the best places in the world to free dive so that was amazing too. On my final dive training session we had 2 mobula rays come past our line! It was so special. The accommodation at the academy was quite basic-no air con(!) and the school is based about a 15 min drive outside of alona beach which is where most of the restaurants are based. However the academy is very close to Napaling reef and the sardines which was so cool! Overall I’d definitely recommend the academy but if you want something a bit more lively, or want more food options etc I would stay in town and then attend the academy in the day.

Must see - Very good experience, well organized, very good guide! Lots of my but we know what to expect. Corals, fish and sardines are exceptional, really a must see if you are comfortable with snorkeling and can dive your head underwater.

Great experience, zero complaints! - My wife and I went there to get our Molchanov Wave 1 Certification and we had an overall very pleasant experience. We rented one of the school‘s bungalows for the time of our course, which was a bahay kubo (bamboo hut) with fan, electricity, and Wi-Fi. We also rented a scooter for our entire stay for 500 php per day from them - a reasonable price for a short term rental in the Philippines! The school provided sound advise on which type of certification would be fitting for us and which institution we should get certified at (Molchanov, Aida, SSI). They also offered a fun dive with fotos and videos after the course was done (included in the price). Our instructor, Ramar, was a very good teacher! He took his time for each student (we were three in total) and gave super helpful feedback after each skill we performed. His friendly character and relaxed demeanor made the lessons fun and you didn’t feel the pressure of performing flawlessly. Nevertheless, he knew when to point out things to improve and really help every student achieve the goals. As we found out later (by stalking his insta), he is also a multiple national champion, which is just so impressive!!! We had the fun dive after our course with Wen, another instructor, who took care of our safety, and Dio who took fotos and videos of us. We were able to get amazing shots of ourselves and the under water world! Just amazing!!! We also made friends with three interns of the diving academy who lived in the huts next to us. Shoutout to Ivan, Zack, and Jesse who were training to become instructors. We frequently went out with them and other students and instructors/employees of the academy to have dinner (shoutout to vegan shack, K&L Canteen, and so many other places)! All in all, I only have good things to say about the place, the school, and our experience. We already know we’ll be back in about 1,5 months to continue our free diving journey. Truly addictive!!!

Best place to learn freediving! - Me and my partner have done plenty scuba and casual snorkling dives before so I was a bit skeptical about taking the course thinking I already know everything. Boy was I wrong! Vincent, founder of the academy, has a true passion for freediving and teaching people how to do it. Every step of the course feels professionally crafted and you never feel lost because any question you might have will have an in-depth answer. We first learned the basics in the swimming pool but on the same day we were already freediving in the BEAUTIFUL waters of Panglao - fun! When we were in the water we felt very safe and looked after, Vincent always had the right tips about how to perfect our dives and technique. Overall I highly recommend Freedive Academy - it's full of friendly, professional people who are experts at their craft!

Amazing experience!!! - This was the first time for me to try freediving and it was a fantastic experience! Everyone in the centre is so friendly and approachable, you feel like home there 🤗🤗
