The walking route on the dirt road can extend to at least ten kilometers, but it is the first five that provide a view towards the lake. The easy walk is on a hardly used dirt road. We walk back and forth.
- Pano Lefkara - Pano Lefkara stone-built (Lefkara lace producing) village is the meeting point of our trip, because it is close to the walking route, provides an excellent cultural attraction and has tourism amenities, including public restrooms. Here, travellers can meander in the alleys, and check Lefkaritika lace, typical of just a few villages in this area of Cyprus.

In Pano Lefkara, visitors can wander through the intricate stone-built village, known as the production center of the renowned lace. According to local tradition, Leonardo da Vinci visited and admired the Lefkaritika lace. The central church is a must-see for its historical significance and architectural style. As per local lore, it contains a piece of the Holy Cross.
The picturesque lake is encircled by towering hills. An islet and various delightful formations can be observed around it. The local flora is diverse, and the geology is marked by red hues, contrasting with the white-dominated geology around Pano Lefkara. The walking path on the dirt road can stretch to at least ten kilometers each way, but the first five kilometers offer views of the lake. The easy walk is on a rarely used dirt road, and the route is the same for the return journey.
