Among the most important treasures of the monastery is the icon of the “Virgin Mary”, which was reputedly painted by the Apostle Luke himself. We will also be able to see many religious relics of other saints.

- Omodos - Our first stop is at Omodos, a beautiful village located in the famous wine-producing area of Afames, in the Limassol district. We will walk through the cobbled streets to the village square which is lined with cafes and shops selling local produce. We will visit the monastery of the Holy Cross, which houses a piece of the rope used by the Romans to fasten Jesus to the cross, and see the old wine press, glass makers and other craftsmen.

An informative and pretty day out - Really informative tour guide, telling about flora and fauna, Cyprus history, monastery history, etc. She was quite scary about being back on the bus on time but it worked - everyone was always back at every stop so the tour ran to time. Great stop for a very good value lunch. Driver was very good as you'd expect, taking the mountain roads safely and sensibly. The bus was really smart and, of course, air conditioned. All in all, a great day out and good value compared to some of the prices quoted for similar trips.

We loved Kykkos Monastery and the small villages up the mountains and chrysoroyiatissa monastery

A typical tourist tour, very good for reaching all the described sights, top value for money! - This tour is a great way for tourists without a rental car to explore the sights. The time slots for the individual activities could have been a bit longer, but you can still see a lot in one day. Of course, the individuality is a bit lacking in a group of more than 20 people, but that doesn't detract from the quality of the information. Thank you for the lovely day!

Beautiful trip to the mountains - Very competent, friendly tour guide. Selection of sights was good. Time in Omodos was unfortunately too short, here we would have liked to have stayed longer.

Great day - This was well worth it apart from feeling sick from the winding roads on a long stretch. However, the monasteries are fantastic if you like things like that. I was a tad disappointed to find out that most of them have been rebuilt, so there is very little history in the actual stones, but the history surrounding them is very interesting.
The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly (but stern if you did something you are not supposed to, like taking pictures where not allowed). And the driver or the coach was really friendly as well.
Really good tour overall, but READ THE EXTRA INFORMATION!
1. If you have motion sickness, DON'T GO. There is an hour section around winding and hair pin mountain roads and despite taking anti sickness tablets, I felt awful by the time we got from one of the destinations to the other. Thankfully, that is the only long section of winding road. The others were bearable.
2. Don't wear short shorts or skirts. Shorts or skirts need to fall to the middle of your knee at least. And if wearing sleeveless or spaghetti strap top, make sure you have a wrap or something as you won't be let into the monasteries, which is pretty much the point of this trip.

Satisfactory - This is an okay trip. Commentary is excellent and informative. We didn’t find the stops very interesting really. Go to Archeological sites in Paphos instead.
