Among the most important treasures of the monastery is the icon of the “Virgin Mary”, which was reputedly painted by the Apostle Luke himself. We will also be able to see many religious relics of other saints.

- Omodos - Our first stop is at Omodos, a beautiful village located in the famous wine-producing area of Afames, in the Limassol district. We will walk through the cobbled streets to the village square which is lined with cafes and shops selling local produce. We will visit the monastery of the Holy Cross, which houses a piece of the rope used by the Romans to fasten Jesus to the cross, and see the old wine press, glass makers and other craftsmen.

One of the best trips ever taken - From the on-time collection in the very comfortable minibus to the incredible knowledge provided by our guide during every part of the day, the trip was exceptional - we were amazed by the monasteries, the churches, the landscape, the small villages and the welcome in each. Our guide’s commentary was so helpful, making our choice to use Viator the right one… hiring your own vehicle and doing the same route would mean having to read up on each location in such detail prior to your arrival that it would take away the surprises on arrival. And also, the roads are so tight and full of bends in the mountains that the knowledge of the driver took all of the potential stress out of the mix. All in all, one of the best and most revealing trips we have ever taken.

One day in Cyprus ♥️♥️♥️ - The trip from the agency was very well planned. The guide was knowledgeable, attentive and caring about all travelers. We enjoy every stop and the whole journey. Sometimes there were wish to stop the moment. Excellent. I recommend!

Enjoyed much more than expected - Usually stay away from big tour groups, but this one ran smoothly and allowed a good deal of independent exploring compared to what I would have expected. The sites of course are well worth seeing, and the trip ran very smoothly.

Monastery visits Troodos mountains - What a breathtaking day out up in the mountains . The views just outstanding .The monasteries themselves visually excellent and historical . Our guide was very knowledgeable not only about each monastery but provided info about local crops and the scenery. Stopped for lunch at a local restaurant which fed us well for just €15pp. There was plenty of time at each stop to look at surroundings as well. Just make sure you are well covered to enter the monastery, no bare legs or shoulders and heads covered.

It was worth it - Nowhere else was the excursion possible. Not with tour guide or in the hotel.
And then there were many buses at Kykkos Monastery. Absolutely a highlight for me. If you like mosaic frescoes, you have to come here.
You don't know what to photograph, there are so many possibilities.
Lunch in smaller buffet was also good for 15 € plus drinks. In the shop next door lots of icons and souvenirs. Free wine tasting to pour yourself without sales Staff and advice was good and fast if you had already had a guided wine tasting (on another tour). Staying in Omodus was also worth it. There's a fine little monastery here. And otherwise an interesting tourist village for strolling and shopping. An hour goes by quickly. WARNING The roads from Paphos to Kykkos are very winding. Didn't have much appetite after that. But after about 80 minutes in Kykkos the nausea was over again.

An informative and pretty day out - Really informative tour guide, telling about flora and fauna, Cyprus history, monastery history, etc. She was quite scary about being back on the bus on time but it worked - everyone was always back at every stop so the tour ran to time. Great stop for a very good value lunch. Driver was very good as you'd expect, taking the mountain roads safely and sensibly. The bus was really smart and, of course, air conditioned. All in all, a great day out and good value compared to some of the prices quoted for similar trips.

We loved Kykkos Monastery and the small villages up the mountains and chrysoroyiatissa monastery
Very scenic views

Great trip with Zofia! - We had a great trip with Zofia, very knowledgeable tour guide with lots of interesting facts. Saw 3 beautiful monasteries. Some scenic views and a lovely spot for lunch at a local restaurant. Also stopped at a very cute town called Omodos and tried some delicious homemade cakes. These are a must try in you’re in town!! Only downside was the bus was so hot, not sure why as it was not too hot outside.
