Best Hot Springs & Spa I have ever been to in the whole world! - Many locals in Quito offer this day trip, we paid 75 for two people for the fare. 22+ per person for the day plus more for massage, etc. Lovely services, spend the whole day there, bring a book. Restaurant on site. Just up the drive is a another hot springs resort for locals, not so posh and quite inexpensive.

We enjoyed our trip to the hot... -
We enjoyed our trip to the hot springs, it took approx one and a half hours to get there, getting out of Quito is the worse part due to traffic congestion. Unfortunately it was cloudy and rainy when we visited so didn't get a good view of surrounding mountains. We didn't have time to look at public hot springs so can't comment on those. The spa was a very pleasant experience but nothing out of the ordinary I think the fact that we couldn't see mountains affected our opinion a little. Pre book if you want a treatment/ massage, all slots were booked up when we arrived. Food in the spa hotel was very good. The highlight of this tour for us was the visit to the humming bird centre Quanga. We saw up close approx ten different species of humming bird with a stroll through the cloud forest to look at the fauna. Our guide from Latin adventures was Daniel, he was very efficient and also knowledgable about alsorts of things including culture, biodiversity, flora and fauna and very easy to be with.
