• Mairie de Papeete - Capture photos of one of Papeete’s most stunning buildings, showcasing colonial-style architecture. Located in downtown Papeete, the city hall is an essential part of the city’s charm.

• Notre Dame Cathedral - The Notre Dame Cathedral stands as a central architectural landmark in Papeete. Its design blends European and local Polynesian elements, creating a captivating visit. Notable features include a full-size woodcarving of the Madonna and Child, with the child holding a breadfruit, originating from the Marquesas Islands.

• Point Venus - After exploring the bustling city, head east to experience natural wonders. Our next stop is the renowned Venus Point, known for its historical monuments and stunning marine landscape. Delve into the era of the first European arrivals in Tahiti. The tour includes a visit to the monument dedicated to Captain James Cook, whose achievements in Tahiti significantly advanced British navigational skills. We’ll also see the monument honoring the Bounty crew, who mutinied against Captain Bligh after their stay in Tahiti. Additionally, Venus Point features a monument to the first Protestant missionaries who worked to convert the Polynesian population. The picturesque black sand beach makes Venus Point a must-visit.

• Arahoho Blowhole - Witness the awe-inspiring natural attraction where ocean surf forces air through a narrow channel, creating a sudden, startling noise. This entertaining phenomenon is complemented by the breathtaking rocky shoreline and the chance to observe tiny marine creatures like gobies living on the rocks.

• Faarumai Waterfalls - Visiting this majestic waterfall is a must in French Polynesia. Standing at around 300 feet, the Faarumai waterfall is one of the tallest in the area and a remarkable natural wonder. It’s an easy 5-minute walk from the car, surrounded by lush tropical vegetation. The enchanting beauty of the place will fill you with mana (energy in Tahitian). Your guide will also share a famous Tahitian legend about two lovers who hid behind the waterfall and, according to legend, still reside within the rock.

• Belvedere du Tahara’a - The Belvédère du Tahara’a scenic viewpoint, located in the hills above Arue, offers stunning panoramic views of Moorea Island and Matavai Bay, where the first European settlers arrived. This historical site marks the initial encounter between Maohi culture and Western civilization.

• Tomb of King Pomare V - Visit the mausoleum of Tahiti’s King Pomare V, built from coral stone and resembling a small lighthouse with a red door and a red Greek-style urn on top. Originally constructed for Queen Pomare IV, her remains were later moved by her son. A few years after, Pomare V died of alcoholism, and his remains were interred in the mausoleum. The site faces the sea, offering a beautiful view of the Tahitian coast.
