Additional Information

On this relaxing sightseeing tour we’ll start with a visit to Aphrodite’s Rock, the fabled birthplace of the Greek goddess of beauty. Our path then takes us to the Kourion archaeological site. Visit the Roman baths and amble through the site’s centrepiece, the Greco-Roman theatre where concerts are still being held to this day. Moving onwards, we visit Kolossi Castle, a former Crusaders’ stronghold. It was built in the 12th century and is historically known for the production of Richard the Lionheart’s favourite wine, Commandaria. We’ll journey on to the mountain-wrapped stone village of Omodos and enjoy a guided walk along the narrow cobbled streets before a visit to the majestic monastery of the Holy Cross, one of the oldest monasteries on the island. We cap off the day in style with a tour of a local winery where delectable wines will be uncorked for you to sample.

An epic trip in Cyprus - An amazing experience with a great guide. Eva brought to life her experiences in 1974. The tour was very well managed and great value. We got great photos of Varosha and Famagusta. Highly recommended. Tommy and Catherine Maher Ireland

Perfect day to learn about Cyprus - What a wonderful day fulll of history and experiences. Eva knows her stuff and tells things in a delightful way. She kept the day educational and fun. She knew someone everywhere we went to make sure we felt like honoured guests at each venue. We enjoyed every part.

Eva makes this tour! - Booked this via jet2 when I booked the holiday. It's a long day but what a tour. Went to some lovely places. The information is as above but Eva, our guide is sooooo knowledgeable and this made the tour even better. She's written a book of her time as a young refugee from the north of Cyprus during the war of 1974 where the Turks took over some of the north of the island. I'm honoured to have bought her book. Love that lady ❤️

Great taster tour of Cyprus - Eva was a great guide, enjoyed the sites but time in each area is limited. Would have been nice go onto the beach next to Aphrodite's rock. Wine tasting was excellent tasted 6 varieties with nibbles. Air conditioned bus, essential as it was over 35 degrees. One improvement could the wine tasting have been after the visit to omodos village, as you don't get lunch and free time till 2pm. But recommended on a visit to Cyprus.
