- Aphrodite’s Rock Art - One of the most visited tourist spots in Cyprus is Aphrodite’s Rock, also known as Petra tou Romiou. This intriguing sea stack is located in Pafos, just off the main road from Pafos to Limassol. According to legend, this rock marks the birthplace of Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty and love.

- The Sanctuary Of Apollo - Apollon Hylates, the God of the Woodland, was the protector of Kourion and is believed to have been worshipped at this site from the 8th century BC to the 4th century AD. This sanctuary was a significant religious center and saw numerous expansions and modifications over different periods.
Originally, the site featured a temple (remnants of which are found in the foundations of the current temple), a circular monument, and a formalized Archaic Altar and Precinct. During the Roman period, the site was expanded with the addition of the south and north buildings, possibly used for displaying votives or housing visitors. Terracotta figurines and pottery collected in the temple from the 5th century BC to the Roman period were buried in the votive pit.
Most of the monuments visible today belong to the site’s 1st century AD restorations, including Apollo’s temple (partially restored), pilgrim halls, and the ‘palaistra.
- Kolossi Castle - A prime example of military architecture, Kolossi Castle was initially constructed in the 13th century and rebuilt in its current form in the 15th century.
Following the fall of Acre in 1291, it became the Grand Commandery of the Knights of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem, and in the 14th century, it came under the control of the Knights Templar. During their time in Cyprus, the Knights produced and exported a sweet wine known as the ‘vin de Commanderie’. Today, Commandaria wine remains one of the island’s traditional wines and is one of the oldest named wines in the world, retaining its name for eight centuries.
Adjacent to the castle are the ruins of a 14th-century sugar mill.
