- Islas Ballestas - You will be met by our guide at 9:15am at San Martin Port, then you will be transferred to Paracas town, at this point you will meet the rest of the group and board our speedboat to begin your adventure to the stunning Ballestas Island. On the way you will stop at the Paracas Peninsula to see the enigmatic figure of the Candelabro. A stunning design drawn on the side of a hill in the Peninsula. Nobody knows for sure who did it or why. There are many hypotheses regarding its origin. Some believe it is related to the Nazca Lines but still found no proof or evidence that can define its creation. Afterwards will head off to Ballestas Island where you will enjoy a stunning world filled with birds and sea lions. Here you will visit the three islands at an allowed distance, navigating in some caves (this will be depending on the condition of the sea). On your return to the port, you will board our vehicle to drive towards Paracas Reserve in group. During your tour you will learn more about Paracas Reserve by visiting the interpretation centre, an interesting building that displays photos about all the fauna, flora and many others important facts about the Paracas Peninsula. Afterwards, we will drive throughout a lifeless desert till we reach an area where once stood a great natural rock formation known as the Cathedral. Unfortunately, this old formation did not withstand the 2007 earthquake. At this place you will have amazing views of the desert and the blue ocean and you will see thousands of sea birds, then you will visit Playa Roja and Lagunillas beach for some refreshments. At the end of the tour you will be return to San Martin Port to re-join your ship.

What a day! - This was a wonderful way to go out and see the wildlife at the Lester Islands. The boat is very comfortable, has a nice shaded roof for your comfort. The tour operator was extremely knowledgeable about the different animals we were seeing. And we did see everything, if it was there, we saw it.

Excellent Tour - Olenka was our tour guide, and we could not have asked for better. She spoke clearly, so everyone could understand. That she is very proud of her country was very obvious. She is very knowledgeable and also relayed fun facts.
On the boat tour she was quick to point out penquins, sea lions, and various species of birds. We were lucky to see such various wildlife on the boat tour. The reserve was also great.
We would definitely recommend this tour!

This shore excursion was... - This shore excursion was well organized and communication from the tour company was excellent. A big plus was that the buses meet cruise passengers right beside the ship. The boat captain did a great job in maneuvering so everyone could see the islands from either side of the boat. Be sure to carry a light jacket. The speedboat ride to the islands was quite chilly because of the wind even though the morning of our tour was warm. Also, if you are prone to motion sickness, prepare for that before you leave because there could be some swaying of the boat when the engine is stilled, depending on the waters on your tour day. The views on the reserve tour were beautiful, and the two tour package was a good deal.

Happy with the tour - Pick-up was on time at the ship. Olenka was knowledgeable and passionated about history of her country and provided a lot of information. The island and Paracas National Reserve were beautiful. We're very happy with the operation and scenery. Definitely a must do.

Great excursion taken from inside General San Martin Peru port. - Olenka did a wonderful job of explaining the Ballestas Island and the Paracas Reserve. She covered the history and the present. I would recommend this trip. We took it from the General San Martin cruise terminal. We were met as we exited the gangplank of the Oosterdam and returned on time to the gangplank, just steps away from the ship, with no worries. Excellent!

Paracas and Ballestas Islands - A little rough to start off with as the company took us early to the wrong meet up location. 30 minutes later we joined the group. Boat trip was wonderful and the guide spoke in clear English as she described history, birds and sea life of the area and the islands. Great photos and wonderful day. Bring sunscreen and a hat!

Good tour - not small group. - This was a very good tour and I would recommend it. Our guide was friendly, helpful and shared good information. They only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the description said the tour would be maximum 15 person and we were on a bus with 40+ people. We arrived on a cruise ship and all were from our ship. All in all we still enjoyed the tour but felt that was very misleading.

It was a pleasurable... - It was a pleasurable experience with the boat seeing seals and penguins and the different types of birds, the Candalabra and all the other sites. Then going to vision the ocean and the desert beside each other and the other sites .
