Great combination - Great combination: speed and tranquility. The speed boat accelerated my heart, while the snorkeling calmed it....

Not For Everyone-Check the Details Before Booking - Expect to be led by and passed off to a number of different operators. We are an older couple and this was a bit much for us. The parasailing was the best part of the tour. The snorkeling was fine but trying to get in the mini speedboat (which had no resemblance to the photos-looked very old) by a teenager in 15 ft of not calm water was not. We had to stand on the motor near the props (an accident waiting to happen) and then be pulled in. Being surrounded by party boats is not how I like to snorkel. We were also taken to a bay of party boats where we were told we could swim for 20 minutes but that would have been more like fending off vendors trying to sell us $20 pina coladas and over priced food being cooked on a small boat. The saddest part of the trip was being taken to see dolphins swimming in a contained area the size of my garage. If I had known this was what “swimming with dolphins” meant I would have chosen another tour. Unfortunately I had no way of freeing these poor creatures.

Not good for families - It was not what we expected. It did not feel family friendly, despite the description on tripadvisor saying it was, my wife felt very uncomfortable with the kids there and asked to leave early. The snorkeling portion was fine. Then the guides took us to a shallow spot where boats were there just to party with loud music and tried to get us to drink, not a good experience. At this point, we were already 2.5 hours into a 3 hour tour and they said we had to wait to parasail. My wife didn't feel comfortable waiting at the bar on the beach and decided to leave. Not a good experience or worth our money. I don't want to leave a bad review, but also don't want others thinking this is a family friendly activity. Also, the tour description on tripadvisor didn't specify that we would be on multiple boats with multiple young children. We thought the 5 of us could ride on 1 boat. It seemed better for couples or buddies ready to party

Do not book this tour if you value your time and money - I don’t normally write reviews unless the experience was so terrible it required one. Here is a long list of issues. ------------------------------
#1 Was told our driver would be at the hotel at 1pm. At 1pm was told that the driver was running 20 minutes late. At 1:20 the driver called and said he was another 20 minutes. At 1:40 I had called driver who said he was nearby but waited until 1:50 until we were finally in a vehicle.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
#2 Terrible communication with operator who does not respond promptly and provided incorrect information. In fact, the operator even ignored some messages and did not respond.
-------------------------
#3 When you arrive at the beach you are passed off to what I believe is a completely different group of people, who take you parasailing. This experience was not bad but they do attempt to sell you photos for $120 USD.
------------------------------------------------------------
#4 - We were then transferred to another part of the beach approximately 2km away, where the new guides appeared confused as to what we were supposed to do next and we ended up waiting another 20 minutes until someone with a speed boat arrived. The speed boat experience was not bad.
----------------------------------------------
#5 - Snorkelling is done with a bunch of party boats and the “natural pool” where you are taken to swim for a few minutes was a cesspool of party boats and the water was probably 50% alcohol and full of dirt. We opted to skip this part due to how dirty it was.
----------------
#6 - The dolphin viewing is probably the worst part of the tour. If you enjoy seeing dolphins being starved and locked up in tiny areas without anyone watching over them then I guess you’ll enjoy this. I am by no means someone who cares about animals in aquariums. But even I thought that this one was quite sad.
--------------------------------
#7 - The operator then dropped us off at the beach where he attempted to sell us photos taken during the speedboat and snorkelling for $120 USD. We negotiated this to $60 and it still took over a day for him to send the photos, even after promising they’d arrive in 15-20 minutes.
----------------------------------------------------------------
#8 - The speedboat operator then left us stranded on this beach after we paid for the photos, and EVEN after I provided him with a tip. We were then stuck on the beach for 15 minutes until guys wearing the same uniform as the operator came and we told them we were supposed to be dropped off 2km east where our driver was waiting.
-------
#9 - We then were provided with a different speedboat operator from the same company who drove us to the other side of the beach, and his friendly attitude disappeared quickly when we said we didn’t have any cash left and he demanded a tip. He then began to call his friends around us and we were basically coerced with providing him payment for his services. I understand the living wage is not great in the Dominican, but I do not believe a tips should ever be mandatory, especially when the company screwed up themselves.
----------------------
#10 - None of the guides spoke any English so if you don’t speak Spanish then good luck.
If you have read my review in its entirety and still decide to book then I wish you luck and hope you do not have the same experience, but you have been warned.
